Fashion and solar energy may not typically be spoken of in the same breath, but a Brooklyn-based company called Pvilion is breaking the mold. Two years ago the company, which develops solar panels that integrate with fabric, teamed up with Tommy Hilfiger to integrate solar panels in a jacket, and the companies are now planning to expand the partnership with handbags and other items as part of a new generation of possibilities for solar energy.
