Sometimes I train like this. Why? Because body armor and helmets can affect shooting mechanics. I want to be the most well rounded shooter I can be. Whether I'm running pistols, rifles, shotguns, in kit, slick, from concealment, warbelts, etc. - As an equipment designer/producer I also like to have first hand experience with certain gear. And how it functions alongside other gear. I could just ask opinions from guys who wear this stuff for a living, but I prefer putting in time with the gear myself AND ask opinions from those who've been-there-done-that.
