I've been seeing stuff around about podcast musicals, but I'm a bit confused, are those also Melliot works?

Nope!

The only Melliot musicals that exist are The Art of Pleasing Princes, Adamandi, and Ghost Story. A good rule of thumb (other than literal credits of a work saying it's by us) is if we post about it on @melliotwrites or melliotwrites.com (e.g., standalone songs like New and Improved Boyfriend Experience), then it's by both of us! (Unless otherwise specified, like when we posted about Mel's play on the Melliot instagram or about elliotly music on the Melliot TikTok, etc.)

I think people use Melliot as a broader term sometimes -- which is OK by us because

a) we are dating lol and pretty much one unit

b) we understand it describes the fandom, which encompasses things Mel might be working on in grad school right now, things I made in my embarrassing teenage years, and things we've both worked on but also with other people (in addition to Melliot stuff.) And the lines are really blurry! Mel has VA'd for some of my stuff, I have directed some of Mel's stuff, etc. To make things worse, I did originally make the Melliot Tumblr out of the skeleton of an old inactive Tumblr I had for a podcast musical. Which I don't think helped the confusion. Whoops.

However, this is a good place to clarify where we like to receive asks and post about different works:
