STATUS — closed to @pxmegranates ☁ Denna and Tara get caught in the rain and have to share a hiding place.

It has been a while since Denna and Tara have had the bond they used to; now, they are simply drifting apart, and despite what Tara does, she cannot seem to make things better. Whatever the issue is has eluded her: did she do something to anger Denna? If so, what? As much as she wracks her brain, she cannot come up with an answer to this question. So, instead, she has been accepting that her closest friend is growing apart from her, and that there is nothing that she can do to fix things.

Until she gets caught in the rain, sprints to the nearest cover, and finds Denna arriving there at the same time. She is clearly running from the rain too, clearly caught out the way Tara has been. Now, Tara cannot just accept things, or pretend she is okay; they are face-to-face, with no one else around, and it would be too awkward to simply... say nothing. So, as she scurried under the cover, out of the torrential downpour, her gaze slid over to her old friend. “Hey, D,” she greeted, a small - albeit nervous - smile curving her lips.

But then I felt bad so I didn’t do it.” Nina whispers the last information like it’s a secret, for some reason, then chuckles and gives her best friend a squeeze, then lets her go. “Aren’t you glad I changed your mom’s name contact to a bunch of police sirens? Imagine if you accidentally called her instead.”

Okay, bye!” She hangs up and turns to look at Denna, “I guess this is yours.”
