The sad, pathetic cardinal was being petty and he knew it. As long as he has been in this congregation, not once has he really honestly felt such annoyance as he did to the man before him. Not because of who he was, rather because how the man behaved and tended to treat him. Skeptical of this time being different, he stays in his spot, glaring at the former Papa.

The Youngest of the bloodline had slipped a golden tipped nail beneath the Cardinal's chin, as his expression seemed to be taking in the physical apperance of his successor; more so seeing his internal reaction. Papa then pinched his chin as he forcefully turned his head, side to side. "Mm, you certainly are not an Emeritus, what is this annoyance of a fuss that you are my brothers bastard child. He was somewhat impressed with the other despite their joined past. He would even endure the nails and the scrutinizing. But now after hearing what the other muses about, the cardinal can do only so much to not roll his eyes. ❝Honestly, I wouldn’t have believed you’d be so gullible to even pay mind to these ridiculous rumors.❞ Rumors, that’s all they were. Copia knew who his parents were and the surprising aspect was that no-- Emeritus the second was not part of that simple equation.
