[pxrabellum Yuria -> Sety] O Oberon: I’ll write about my character getting angry at yours over something they did. (drabble or starter, up to you =w=)
It was as if she was purposely getting near him, and the prince couldn’t help getting increasingly aggravated. He had known it was mostly irrationality causing his frustration, and he had thus done his best to avoid the girl who had caused it. It wasn’t her fault that things turned out this way, but the way he saw it, it was her fault she took it for granted. Maybe she didn’t… but from the way she spoke so casually to him, it was if she never expected to be reprimanded for showing emotion.
She was right.
That made it even more difficult to cope, and he knew he would only be scolded by his father if he showed any of his own emotions in her presence. Right… He would be scolded, but she never would be. There was a different kind of scolding he had been waiting for; something more parental rather than doing something to anger his father. Even poor Fee, the way she was scolded… It wasn’t in a parental manner; it didn’t give off the vibes that she was scolded out of concern.
He had done fairly well avoiding making his feelings known to others, but by now… she must have noticed. Actually, both of them had probably noticed, and Fee might have as well. Being in the middle of a war, he had tried countless times to focus instead on that, but the irritation always came back as soon as she was near Sety. Perhaps trying to fight it had been more exhausting than it simply being there, and there was no way he could just calmly talk it out with her.
How could he? She had done nothing wrong, but at the same time, he couldn’t help believing it was all her fault. It pained him to hear Fee’s complaints and how much it pained her to feel so rejected. Their mother had died, and they had hoped they could find some form of comfort in the only parent they had left. They weren’t like Celice or Leaf, who had more than a person or two they could call a parental figure. They had several… and Sety and Fee were down to one; one that wouldn’t give them the attention they’d be denied for years now.
Because of her.
How many times had he thought it now? That everything would be better if she weren’t here? Wasn’t that an awful thing to think? Perhaps so, but a part of him didn’t care. Pretending to care would only be forced, and if he had to force it that badly just to pretend he didn’t mind, it undoubtedly meant he really felt that way. It wasn’t her fault… but all of it was her fault.
Did she notice? Was that why she hung around like this recently? Did she not realize it only further incited these feelings? How could he talk it out when he wasn’t even positive he could find a peaceful resolution? It made his stomach turn at the thought of trying to apologize to her for feeling this way. Levin was the one to have done something wrong, yet his emotions still took it out on the wrong person. She had soaked up the life himself and Fee had been waiting for, probably smiling and laughing with him while Fury lied in bed, her life slowing departing from her. The two of them could only watch her die while that girl was off with the one person their mother truly wanted to see…
“You… keep coming to wherever I am on purpose, aren’t you? If you noticed, I would have figured you would be doing the exact opposite.” But the way she looked at him some days told him she must have known. Hell, maybe it was bette that she did. The blissful ignorance she once had truly did anger him more.
