“Captain Phobo, reporting for duty!”
✥ First encounter || Zitao & Data
The young cadet felt like he had just left Starfleet Academy, even with a few months training on a ship of the fleet there was still so much he needed to learn before he would be confident of his place on a ship, much less the Enterprise. Nervously he pulled his shirt down, trying to get it fit neater over his chest, it kept creeping up after he had started working out. Getting a new uniform (or this one adjusted) was top priority. After he was welcomed on the Enterprise that was. First things first.
Huang Zitao, age 22, humanoid and one of those 'top of the class' students. Not in every field mind you, the language classes had been a complete hell for the man as were the flying lessons where he kept running simulations of him crashing shuttles into asteroids. He was not a medical officer either, the human (and most other bodies) disgusted him when they were cut open. Oh no. Huang was skilled with a screwdriver and explosives. He studied all kinds of weapons he could get his hands on and was one of the five students at Starfleet to have dismantled a bomb that had been found near the borders of federation space. There was still a lot to learn, yet he was pretty sure he would make a fine addition to the crew.
Next to weapons he would be working in engineering, fixing coils and screens most likely, but Zitao didn't mind. he would serve on the Enterprise and that had been his dream.
Upon arriving he came face to face with a truly amazing man that he had read about but never met. Inhaling sharply and then smiling he extended his hand. "Lieutenant commander Data, it is a true honor to meet you sir." The man couldn't help but laugh a little from nervousness.

"Maan, here I was thinking Drax was the walking thesaurus.....He's got nothin' on you."
Rou was not a fan of the jumpsuit in any way, favoring the skirt uniform over the body shaping suit. She wore the uniform with pride as she slowly navigated the Enterprise, unwilling to ask the computer how exactly to get where she'd intended to go. She rounded the corner and smiled brightly as she avoided a collision with the Lieutenant Commander. "Lieutenant Commander Data, Sir. It's a pleasure to meet you." she'd been aboard nearly three weeks and had yet to actually meet the android.
