The Titanic was named the ship of dreams by many leading up to it’s maiden voyage, and that’s with Evie was hoping it would be for her also. Growing up with a family like hers wasn’t always the easiest, but it was something that just seemed natural to her now and she wouldn’t change it for the world. She knew all about her fathers’ dealings, and as she got older the more that he would tell her. One day he asked her if she would like to see what he does, and of course the brunette wanted to please her father, that’s all she wanted to do in life. He told her that he had a small job in England and asked her if she wanted to join. Evie had never ventured out of Ireland at this point, and beamed with excitement, not just at the thought of travelling somewhere new, but that she also got to spend time with her father alone. What her father didn’t tell her was that they would be visiting one of his close friends (who initially started as a a business deal may I add), and his daughter who happened to be nearly the same age as Evie.
Even though she knew what her father did was wrong, she kind of enjoyed the power that came along with it and how confident she became each trip. Of course she became a frequent visitor over the seas with her father when he went on trips. And it may have had something to do with the blonde that may have lived there. At first she tried to deny the attraction to the younger woman, but there was no point lying to herself the way that she had to lie to nearly everyone around her. Every time she would return she needed to tell her siblings all about her trip, well, nearly everything. Killian and Alice knew that her attractions had never been to men. Even as a teenager she would never speak of crushes. They were always accepting of her and she loved them for it. Deep down she knew that her parents most likely also knew.
Fast forward to Killian standing in front of them all with a plan to board the Titanic and spend some time in America, and all the Irish woman could think of was how she could never leave without Piper. As if he knew exactly what she was thinking her older brother whispered in her ear “your British friend also has a ticket.”
And with that information she packed her bags and promised her father that they would make him proud in America. With her ticket in hand and her luggage in the other she took a deep breath before looking at her siblings at either side of her and boarded the Titanic, wondering how she would find her girl in the sea of people on the boat.
