Pyke could hear the song from underneath the foamy and bloodstained waves. How curious, no one usually sang in a place like this. It wasn’t half bad either, and he did miss the sound of music that wasn’t a bunch of rowdy drunks at the bar belting out a cheerful (and off tune) pirate melody.
Upon rising from the water, Pyke narrowed his eyes at the purple girl. “I seldom find people singing around here. You’re quite a contrast to your surroundings.” Perhaps out of curiosity, maybe a tidbit of boredom, he went on to ask, “Who might you be?”
