Daken had been the kind of child who burned ants with a magnifying glass and wrecked their anthills for fun. He still did, as a matter of fact, when no one could see.

He just loved to watch them scamper in panic.

Now this Dr. Pym, the one they called Ant-Man; Daken was pretty sure he'd squish just as easily as his namesakes. 

But not yet. Now was the time to observe and take note. Later there would be time for epic battles. He'd have to remember to bring a larger glass...

Maria was trying to enjoy her lunch, but there were a few very irritating things that kept getting in the way. Number one on her list, though not the worst, was the way the agent behind her was chewing his food with his mouth open so all that sound went everywhere.

No, the worst thing were all the gorram ants. This was unsanitary, even if they were lab-grown.

"Dr. Pym!" The man with the helmet sat down at the other end of the long cafeteria table. "Get your ants out of my food, or so help me God, I will eat them." She would, too. It was disgusting, but proving a point was worth more than even the extra protein.
