Awesome Vintage Valentine’s Day Display
Pyrex Gooseberry Pink, Bluebirds, Valentines, and More!
Happy Valentine’s Day! Do you enjoy creating displays for holidays and seasons? It can be fun to take items you already have and make a theme grouping. I cannot take credit for this one, but I just had to share it. This photo features some of my favorite vintage things: Pyrex, Valentines, and bluebirds! There’s even a little red scale, a kewpie Valentine doll, and a jar of conversation hearts.
Pyrex items include pour-spout “Cinderella” mixing bowls and covered casseroles in the popular pink and white Goosebery design, plus some excellent solid color pieces in red, pink, and white. The Gooseberry pattern, active 1957 - 1966, was one of the first released in “opal” Pyrex. The ceramic bluebirds look like Lefton, except for the pair of birds on a heart-shaped piece at the bottom right, which looks like a florist vase made for Valentine’s Day flowers.
