The voice caught Logan off-guard, and he jumped a little, having not heard the woman’s approach.
“Sorry!” She said quickly, before Logan could form a response. “Didn’t mean to scare you!”
“I-It’s okay,” he finally replied with a shake of his head. “A-And I think I’m okay, I’m just thinking which one she’d like best…” Logan held out a hand towards the flower bouquets, arranged with various flowers of all kinds of colours.
“Ahh, I see. Does she have any favourite flowers or colours?” The florist asked.
Logan frowned in thought. “Mmm, not really, I think. I’m probably overthinking it, she’ll love anything I get her anyway.”
The florist nodded. “Just a little extra show of affection, huh?”
“Something like that.”
“I’d suggest this one then,” the florist said, reaching forward and grabbing one of the bouquets. “It’s probably one of our most colourful.”
“Oh, uh, thanks,” Logan said, taking the bundle of flowers from her.
“No problem!” She said cheerily. “Did you need anything else, or should I go ring you up?”
Logan glanced around the shop, then shook his head. “Yeah, I think I’m done, thanks.”
“Right this way!”
The florist’s cheerful energy brought an easy smile to Logan’s face, she seemed so happy she could help him. Once at the till, she scanned the barcode on the bundled flowers, and gave him the price.
“On debit,” Logan said, pulling a card out of his back pocket.
The florist set up the machine, Logan punched in his code, and moments later, was turning to leave.
“Have a nice day!” She said, still cheerful.
“You too!” Logan answered just as cheerfully.
The bell on the door rang twice and he was gone.
“He was cute,” said another florist who had just come out of the back.
The first florist sighed and shook her head. “He has a ‘she’, don’t even think about it.”
“Who said I was!?”
“The fact you didn’t ask ‘think about what?’ says I’m right.”

It was a week later when Logan returned to the shop, the bell ringing to announce his arrival. He recognized the girl behind the desk as the one who had helped him last time, though he was sure she wouldn’t remember him. He was proven incorrect when she met him at the bouquets again.
“Welcome back, last set not of flowers not work out?” She asked
Her voice was still cheerful, though he wondered if she wasn’t worried about something.“N-No, they were fine, but she got a new vase and I thought she might like more flowers for it.”
“Aren’t you thoughtful?” She giggled. “Does the vase have a colour we should try to match?”
“Mmm, no, it’s just kinda grey, like a rock. A bit of design to it, but mostly It just has a quote around it…”
The florist seemed to perk up a little at that. “Oh! Maybe we can match the flowers to the quote then!”
“What…?” Logan looked at her, confused. “How?”
“Flowers have meanings!” She explained, the slight worry from before turning into pure joy at the chance to explain. “I mean, here, look,” she pulled a red rose out and held it up. “You’ve gotta know what this one means, right?”
“Uh… Love, right?”
She beamed. “Exactly! Everyone knows that one! But the other flowers have meanings too…”
Logan ended up spending more time than he expected following the florist and listening to the various meanings of the flowers. By the time he had finally picked some that went along with the vase, he had forgotten most of what she’d said. But he had noticed the smile that never left her face as she spoke, the glimmer in her eyes as he asked a new question about a flower.
“On debit,” he said, pulling the card out of his back pocket.
Then he noticed how, as he spent time waiting for the machine to process his commands, she absently played with her long pink hair as she waited.
“There you go!” She said once Logan had finished. “Have a nice day!”
Logan smiled back at her before leaving this time. “You too.”

“Man, you are long gone,” Brendan said with a sigh and a bit of a chuckle.
“...What do you mean?” Logan asked, confused.
“You do realize you haven’t shut up about the stupid flower shop for days, right?” He asked, quirking an eyebrow.
“Wh… I have not!”
“You so have. You have fallen so hard you made a crater the size of a flower shop.”
“Oh, very funny,” Logan rolled his eyes.
“But seriously, Logan, just talk to her!” Brendan insisted.
“I…!” He rolled his head and turned away. “I can’t! I can’t just… go up to her and say I like her!”
“People do it all the time, that’s exactly how it works. Look, I’ll even go with you!”
Logan groaned. “You’re not going to let this go are you?”
“Nope. Let’s get going!”

“Back again!” The pink-haired florist chimed as the bell rang, admitting the two boys. “Brought a friend this time?”
“U-Uh, y-yeah,” Logan said, avoiding eye contact.
“Hello!” Brendan said cheerfully.
“Looking for flowers for his girlfriend?” The florist asked, looking at Brendan.
Logan hesitated. “Uh… y-yeah, that.”
Brendan kept grinning, as if that hadn’t been a complete lie.
“Need any help?” She asked.
“Um, no, I-I… N-Not right now, thanks,” Logan said.
The two boys started looking over the flowers, and Logan even recited a few of the meanings he’d picked up from the florist. As he did, Brendan caught glances of the florist grinning as he spoke.
“So how long you gonna keep this up until you go talk to her?” Brendan whispered as they were looking at some flowers at the back.
“U-Until I go to pay,” Logan answered.
“So I have to actually pick some out then, huh?”
“Well… yeah, I guess…”
“Or, you just pick them and I’ll trust your judgement. You’re flower boy, remember?”
“Shut up…”
Logan quickly picked out some flowers and took them to the counter.
“He’s not paying?” The florist - Logan noticed her nametag this time, which read “Adina” - asked.
“Um. H-He’s uh, trusting my judgement, a-and apparently my bank account,” Logan half-laughed.
“Okay then…” Adina said with a small laugh of her own, scanning the flowers and getting it ready.
“On d-”
“Debit, I know,” The florist smiled, holding out the keypad for him.
“Y-Yeah…” Logan said as he pulled his card out of his pocket.
This time, Logan was a little slower at punching in his code. He stared at the machine intently as he tried to work up the courage to say something to Adina, but words didn’t come, even as he replaced his card and the transaction went through.
“Have a nice day!” She said, cheerily as ever as Logan took his flowers.
“Th-Thanks, you too,” he said, turning to leave, Brendan giving Adina a wave and a smile before following him out the door.
“What the h-”
Adina blinked as the door closed, hearing only the beginning of what appeared to be a small altercation between the two boys. She could still see them clearly through the large windows of the storefront. They both seemed quite exasperated with each other, making large body movements until finally the brown-haired boy seemed to sigh loudly and start walking off, the redhead shaking his head and following.
“Wonder what that was about,” said a florist who had come up behind Adina.
“No idea,” she replied.
“I think I do…”
“What?”
“Nothing!”

Brendan still wasn’t letting it go though, so Logan had come up with a plan. He’d just keep going until he worked up the courage to say something. So for four days after taking Brendan, Logan went into the little flower shop, and would talk for awhile with Adina about various flowers, what they meant, even learning a little about the flowers themselves. Four days, four bouquets of flowers, and not a word spoken about how he felt.
The fifth day however was different. Logan walked in and she wasn’t there. Instead, another woman stood there, one Logan didn’t recognize.
“You again?” She asked, amusement in her voice.
Logan blinked. “W-What?”
“You’re the one who’s been coming in here every day for the last five days, right?”
“Uh…”
She smiled. “I know you are, and I have a pretty good idea why. I won’t say a thing though, that’s up to you. Sadly today is Adina’s day off, so your courage is saved another dent to its pride.”
Logan shifted on his feet in front of the door, feeling incredibly awkward. “O-Oh…”
He didn’t even feel like denying it, the florist had seen right through him. He even half-turned to leave, feeling defeated, when an idea popped into his head.
Logan spun around and looked at the florist again, who seemed surprised. “Actually, I have something to do here anyway.”
“Really?” The florist asked, curiously.
“Yeah… One sec…”
Suddenly on a mission, Logan went around the store, picking out flowers of various species and colours, and finally came up to the desk with a satisfied smile. “Do you do deliveries?”
“Not usually…” The florist asked, a smile on her face as well.
“What if they don’t even have to leave the building?”
“I think I can manage that.”
“Great. I’ll take these ones.”
“Gift wrapped?”
“Yes please.”
“Name of the gifter?”
“Logan.”
“Giftee?”
“Adina.”
“Knew it.”

The next day Logan came into the flower shop feeling incredibly nervous. Sure enough, Adina was once more behind the counter, and Logan swallowed. The pink-haired florist looked up and smiled.
“Welcome back!”
“T-Thanks,” Logan was avoiding eye contact again, while also trying to still look in her direction.
“So, a funny thing happened today,” she said, leaning an elbow on the counter and putting her chin in her hand. “It’s not every day a florist is gifted flowers, as odd as that may sound. Yet, there was a bundle addressed to me by someone named Logan. Do you know someone with that name?”
“U-Um…” Logan swallowed. She was teasing him and he didn’t know if that was a good thing or not. “I-I, m-my name is Logan.”
“Really?” She said with mock surprise. “Now my only question, is why would you be gifting me flowers?
“B-Because, u-um, I-I…”
“Better question,” she interrupted him. “Is why buy me flowers and not your girlfriend?”
Now Logan was confused. He looked up at her, his confusion evident on his face. “W-What do you mean?”
“The she you were in here for all those times.”
Logan blinked. “Um… my mom?”
Adina went wide-eyed. “Your…” Her lips curled up in a grin and she started to laugh. “You were buying flowers for your mother!”
“Y-Yeah,” Logan said, a smile of his own creeping up on his face. “I… I didn’t know how to say anything, so…” he held his hands out to the bouquet in front of Adina.
“You took all those things I told you over that week and…” She sighed, still smiling. “Would you like to get something to eat after my shift?”
Logan nodded. “Yeah.”
“Meet me here at six?”
“Done.”
“See you then, then.”
Logan nodded, and moments later he was gone. Adina sighed happily and lifted bouquet, filled with all sorts of flowers meaning care of various sorts, but her nose found the single red rose right in the middle, and she decided it was a very sweet smell, maybe her favourite.
From outside, there was a brief, muffled noise, and then the opening strains of Let It Go were carried through the air from outside. They grew steadily louder. Looking out the window would reveal fake snow sprinkling down from the sky and Brendan dangling underneath a Talonflame with an oversized sound system harnessed to his torso as they circled overhead. He'd made an educated guess of where Logan had been aiming him.
Cherise snickered to herself, making a holodash account was one of the best decicions ever, almost every night there was something amusing going on. She curled her hair between her fingers as she waited for a reply to the guy she was sent to go on a date with, and snorted, "Aww, fun's over."
Maybe she should play a game or something.. She walked back to her room, where Midna was lounging on her bed and opened the cabinet where she kept all game discs. Which one..
Then she heard it. "What the.." she turned back, and glanced out the window, it was snowing? Her eyes darted to her Gengar who had floated to the window to glance outside.
"...don't you dare." Yeah. She probably shouldn't have said that. The Ghost type dissipated. Could she make it to the living room in time? The red head bolted, jumping over the coffee table and opening the drawer where they kept their Blu-Rays.

Not a lot of pokemon scare me, really. It would depend on the situation i'm in, I think, cause while a lot of pokemon have stories and stuff around them about where they came from and stuff they do who knows how accurate that is?
For example, trevenant and spiritomb are really creepy if you encounter them in the wild, but not really for me because Kevin has a trevenant and then there's my spiritomb being himself which is not at all creepy or off-putting. More like pretty amusing
