[Phone call]
The ginger hummed and tossed his holocaster into the air a few times, catching it with less ease than usual, while he awaited his old friend to call. He couldn’t ignore the ways his hand shook from stress. Perhaps talking to Chloe would help...
He flinched as the device vibrated and chirped out an 8-bit tune mid-air when the other trainer’s call came through. Miles cursed and fumbled to catch the stupid thing with his twitching fingers. He managed to get a grip on it and hit the green button, purposely keeping holo functions off for the moment, and held it up to his ear.
“Heeyyyy....” An awkward tinge laced his tone and he cleared his throat quietly. When was the last time he’d talked to someone from Kalos? “So where you callin’ from these days.” Miles leaned back onto his and Tony’s shitty couch, complete with cigarette burns and food crumbs.
