Saturday, April 27th: Vortex Blue at De Anza Force Black. Final score: 1-1 tie (1-PK).
Keegano had the opportunity to guest play for the Red Team yesterday in an away game vs Redwood City. He had a blast and the boys played very well together and in position most of the time. His dad and I had a nice time getting to know the other parents on the sidelines. I think the highlight for Keegan was getting a $2 Dippin Dots from the ice cream truck after the game. Final score 1-9. I think. We kind of lost track. LOL.
Here's a cool photo from the April 6th home opener Vortex Blue vs Gryphons Black. BB is blocking former teammate Benji while his fellow Vortex teammate (and former Gryphon) Sanath attacks the ball from the air. This game was of particular interest for the boys and the parents because a few of our former players "defected" to the other club and vice versa. I'm happy to report that everyone- players and parents- remained friendly and showed a healthy and good spirited competitive spirit. I'm also happy to report that we won 2-0.
BB at his first away game of the season on April 7th at Winchester, San Jose vs WSL Mexico Green. I was home with Sammy Kate but I heard that it was a very physical game. Final score 2-3.
Keegan, or "Keegano" as Coach Shea calls him, at his first club game on March 23rd. White vs Blue at Catamaran Park.
Go Vortex! Go #25 @bbvortex ! With @drdadof3 #soccersoccersoccer #pysc (at Burgess Park)
