It was incredibly rare for Q to run late for anything. Despite that, it was definitely not impossible; today was one of those days. After over 73 hours in the office, he had finally been sent home by M with a cuffed ear and orders not to return until he had slept. What had intended to be a few hours of proper sleep had somehow spiralled into a 10-hour snooze that had Q scrambling out of his house the next day looking refreshed but utterly unkempt.

The numbers on his watch had happily informed him that he was over an hour late for a meeting with Ghost so there had been no time to worry about wild curls of hair and a rumpled jumper as he headed out towards the office. Something Q hadn't expected, was to run into the man on the way.

'Run' was not really the right word, however, 'fall' was a far more apt description as a path of ice sent him sliding into the first stable object before him. "Crap." The word hissed out as he pulled back just enough to look at the man, cheeks immediately burning as he realised what had just happened. "T-that wasn't intentional!"

In an effort to stop his blush from getting worse, the Quartermaster rolled his eyes up in exasperation and saw that the arch they were beneath was rather well decorated with mistletoe. Sensing his embarrassment wasn't going to go anywhere, he decided he may as well embrace this whole mess and leaned up to press a quick kiss over Ghost's mouth. "Merry Christmas, Simon." He whispered with a small smile. "Did you bring that file with you?"
