How do you get over internalized homophobia? I recently turned 33 and I've had this hatred of myself over this for so long. I grew up in a conservative, Christian household where being gay is a sin. I'm still in the closet and I don't know when I'll ever come out. I've struggled with this for so long and I just need help. I apologize if this question is too extreme, I don't know who to talk to about this.

Thanks so much for reaching out. You’re question is not extreme and unfortunately is a common experience for people who grew up in conservative christian communities. All members of our community have to actively work on unpacking internalized homophobia (we all receive some version pf it growing up because our entire culture - even outside christian spaces - is embedded in it!). You may have to work harder to find which thoughts have been planted in your head that continue to contribute to your sense of internalized homophobia. I’m going to make a few suggestions for places to start:

You may want to look into LGBTQ+ spaces to access in person. Feeling part of a community and seeing other people living their lives can help normalize what you’re experiencing. This could be through local organizations, Pride Centre’s, or through an Affirming Church in your area. It could be helpful to look in to Affirming Churches - only in that the folks who attend and work there may have additional tools and resources to help uncover and undo the homophobia specifically coming from your faith during your upbringing. I know many LGBTQ+ Christians who are working to reconcile their identity with their faith. It is possible. 

Another in person option to look into would be counselling. Based on the level of distress it sounds like you are experiencing I believe this could be a helpful option for you. To find a LGBTQ+ affirming counsellor you could google: LGBT Affirming Counselling + Your Area or, you could call your local Pride Centre or a Crisis Line in your area (they’re there for support) to see if they have a list of LGBTQ+ affirming counsellors.

Lastly, there are several authors who write about LGBTQ+ identities and christianity - it could be worth googling these key words and searching for books that fit your own questions. Be sure to read the abstracts and avoid any literature that talks negatively about LGBTQ+ identities.

I think Adam has NPD and BPD (self projecting a little).

He's polyamorous and doesn't really care about the gender of his partners, although he seems to gravitate towards feminine aligned people most

He has a huge sweet tooth but struggles to eat more than one or two bites of something sweet at a time without feeling nauseous (its torture to him)

He sucks at preening himself due to his weight gain so he gets help from Lute and his other partners when he needs to deal with his wings

He's a huge fucking nerd about DOOM.

If Adam played BG3 he would romance Lae'zel or Minthara, no questions asked hands down (more likey Lae'zel because he would probably kill Minthara in the game not realizing you can just knock her out to recruit her)

He drinks monster and mountain dew like fucking water. He refuses to drink "unflavored" liquid.

He has little goat/deer hooves and a tail but he has angelic bullshit magic that he uses to hide them when he has anything on except his robe's because he's insecure

He has genuinely considered taking Lucifer for a test ride several times since he became an angel.

Adam is the worst person to invite to parties because something will end up broken by the end of the night and nobody will be able to find him anywhere. Not inviting him doesn't avoid the issue either. He WILL find out about a party, he WILL show up, and he WILL NOT leave until something is broken.

He seems like the kinda guy to have a cork/pinboard where he pins up the stupidest junk. Like he went and saw a movie like 13 times and he pinned every single movie ticket to the board.

Male spiders only spin webs for reproductive purposes, not to live in or crawl around on. Mammon is not only asexual, but he likes to chill out in the webs he spins (and it can't be not him who makes them, I don't think the loan sharks can spin webs.)

Dude I saw this in my askbox and had to sit here and think about it for a bit because it kinda got me all excited lol. This is genuinely such an interesting thought, I never considered this, but I think that would make the most sense honestly.

I mean, I always viewed all of the sins as being intersex in varying degrees/different ways since none of them are human, but with Mammon it for real makes a lot of sense... I'll have to incorporate it into some of my writing sometime.

people say adam is fat but he has stick arms but then again he eats alot of ribs( my gurlie has GREAT taste ngl) and Lucifer says "you really let yout self go" ) BUT also in episode 1(not the pilot) his silhouette is buff? AND IS IT TRUE HE CARES ABOUT LUTE HE SMILED AT HER WHEN HE DIED-

He used to be fit but he's definitely fat now. You can tell from some of the scenes he's in. Especially finale where he's grabbed a couple times. Considering Viv's designs tend to have some funky proportions I wouldn't doubt she designs characters with large round bodies to have skinny arms. They're cartoons after all.

He also definitely cared about Lute that's not too much of a secret. They canonically had a fling on the down low. 🫡
