OH that self ship poll had me wondering …
x reader writers: what is your relationship to the readers you write?
0 - reader is always/almost always completely separate from me
1 - i give some of my personality to reader, but it’s usually just a coincidence
2 - reader is based on me ~50% of the time, but the other 50% they’re separate
3 - reader is usually based on me, but can very depending on the story
4 - reader is always/almost always me/a self-insert

#oh this doesn’t include selfship writings or things btw#for me i’m around 1???? usually????#maybe leaning 2????#like i tend to write more playful/sassy/dom readers bc that’s how i am in real life#but i also have plenty of readers that aren’t!!!!#like one of my fav pieces ive written is ‘carve me up and eat me’ and that reader is VERY different from me#but a lot of my writing inspo comes from situations i think of where it’s usually me in them#since that’s what i’m naturally thinking abt anyways#and then i just . write it and tweak the story from there#but i am so curious if that is the norm :33#actually rereading this i might be a 2 leaning 3 hahahahaha#q polls
