so I was messing around with sburb sim this week, and my old fan session is way too small so I decided to do one with random, new characters. After following their session I ended up becoming endeared with them a little bit and soon enough I expanded them into characters. None of them have names yet(because why would i do the first thing essential to making characters) but they have some basic personalities and I’m building their lands and quests. If you’re curious about these children, I have some detail under the cut.
No. 1, Mage of Hope: Very dreamy and creative, a fan of chillwave and stuff like that. She spends a lot of her time daydreaming, and sees so much potential for good in the world that the bad hardly even matters to her. Through no fault of her own, she always tends to be occupied during various disasters but is always there to come and pick up the pieces. She’s generally very encouraging, and refuses to give up. Her interests are painting and scrapbooking.
No. 2, Rogue of Time: He holds a lot of anger and often presents himself as a revolutionary. He’s an activist and spends a lot of time blogging. He’s probably the most self-aware of the bunch; he knows he has anger, and he’s striving to control it because he’s well aware of how his own hatred can not only make himself worse than what he fights, but detract from his cause. He puts out a very edgy/stoic persona, and he’s a big fan of satire. In more casual situations he has a great sense of humor and is an absolute memelord.
No. 3, Knight of Life: He lives in a massive estate with just about anything he could wants, except for the ability to leave. He loves romance and fantasy books, with his favorite race being elves. As such, he’s learned how to ride horses, use a bow, and fence. He has an archaic vocabulary and he’s kindly, but very ignorant of the true nature of the world. He’s empathetic, but his first instinct upon trouble is to say that things “aren’t really that way”. This makes him ignorant of discrimination and very easy to manipulate/abuse.
No. 4, Witch of Heart: She’s very passionate! She loves plants, and has a big home-grown garden. She’s also a big fan of visual novels that include many endings and significant choices. She’s always very cheerful, and she tends to shout and run around when excited. She deals with hurt by laughing, and barely ever takes anything seriously. She’s definitely the most child-like of the bunch, and often needs redirection by others.
No. 5, Sylph of Light: Born into luxury as well, she’s a fashionista and a little pretentious. Despite her shallow looks, she is a big history nut and practices all sort of typography, her favorite of course being calligraphy. She pretty much refuses to openly say it lest she ruin her reputation, but she loves all of her friends and she would socially sabotage anyone that hurts them. She drinks fruity water because regular is for poor people. She’s very confident and words can’t hurt her, her shades are Gucci
No. 6, Heir of Space: Science boy!! His parents wouldn’t stop buying him children’s science kits, so he started using the materials for more in-depth studies. He basically never eats or sleeps, and he hasn’t seen the sun in months. When he was younger he read the entire dictionary, and when he gets excited about a subject he gets increasingly verbose until he’s basically incomprehensible. Either he’s entirely focused on something, or his mind is wandering a billion ways. Self-care doesn’t exist. His clothes are way too big for him and he loves it that way. He loves basketball, but he’s the worst at it.
No. 7, Maid of Blood: Raised in a perfectly white middle-class suburb, she’s the girl everyone admires and envies. She’s self-motivated, a positive thinker, and she does yoga, jogging, and meditation daily. However, she’s not really as happy as she pretends to be. While she acts the part, she is stifled by the cookie-cutter mold she has been forced into by her parents, who follow the latest trends and talk about their chakra, despite being passionately catholic. She’s scared of the fact that she seems to have extra-sensory abilities, and that paganism is much more appealing to her than what she’s been taught. When her perception of the world is shattered, she’s unable to handle it.
No. 8, Thief of Mind: Thinks he’s Light Yagami, is actually a gremlin. He loves mind games and claims that he can predict what everyone will do. While his initial hunches are always correct, he always over complicates things and ends up hinging plans on multiple overblown assumptions, causing them to immediately fail once put into action. He’s arrogant and selfish and loves money more than anything. He loves to play detective and thinks he understands everyone because he took one psychology class. You can literally buy his silence with the right gift or amount of money.
Maybe one day they’ll have,,, y’know,,, names,
