Dear ARMY Are you doing well this rainy, late summer?
Honestly, I don’t really remember the birthdays I had before I turned twenty. When I look back now they were a little special and just the right amount of boring. I think it was even more like that after I learned that birthdays aren’t so much a day when “I” get congratulated, but rather, a day when we are supposed to “thank our parents for giving birth to us”. September 9th, a day that has been to me simple and frill-less, has become a day when I receive overflowing/overwhelming words for what has already become the seventh year. Shakespeare once said 「We are advertised by our loving friends」 (Henry VI by Shakespeare). I realize once more/anew that my today has become known and has become so much more special through you all, the people I love. “If I can become a person who spreads knowledge of you to the world through love and small/trivial truths/sincerities I hope that, as always, my heart which can’t be exhibited* through words, can reach at least one person” is what I think about. I couldn't dare say that I witnessed every outpouring of love from today but I accept them gratefully and humbly like this, through this short letter. I would like us to be happier for even one more hour/moment. I love you. -Namjoon-
