he glances down at the warm blankets he's tucked into on your shared bed before looking back up at you. "is there something wrong with caring for my boyfriend?" you raise an eyebrow teasingly, prompting him to frown worriedly in case he offended you, "ah, that's not what i meant-" "i know, i know. but i also know you'd do the same for me in a heartbeat, and you actually have before, so let me return the favour, alright?" the concern on his expression is replaced with his usual loving gaze as ZHONGLI whispers, "thank you, my love."
then you try to give him the soup once more, which he eagerly drinks, a soft exhale escaping his lips when the warmth of the liquid hits his throat. in response to your expectant gaze, he says, "you really are such a wonderful cook." a peculiar fusion of both embarrassment and pride swirl in your heart, and you thank him before scolding, "don't think that such sweet words will make me forget how you fell sick because you were overworking!"
"ah, i was hoping that director hu wouldn't tell you that," ZHONGLI rubs the back of his neck, unable to look at you. "darling, i love you, and so i want you to put yourself and your health first too," you place your hand on his, meeting his golden eyes with the plea etched into your stare. he maintains eye contact for a few silent moments, but then ZHONGLI's face breaks into a smile, "anything for you, my glaze lily. i love you too."

childe, the 11th of the fatui harbingers, a man whose name is whispered reverently on the lips of the fatui members who respect him greatly, a man who is feared across teyvat for his bloodthirstiness and renowned for his eagerness to fight, is also the man standing in your kitchen and making you hot soup.
ajax grew up with many younger siblings, so he definitely has experience taking care of a sick person. since you're his s/o, he'll treat you with the utmost care, showing you the tender side of himself he hides from everyone else.
first off, childe will definitely going to scold you if you try to get out of bed, but not in an angry way? it's in a very concerned way, so he's hoping you can realise that and not be upset with him. something along the lines of - "ajax, i've got to go do my commissions." "no way! you're staying in bed, boyfriend's orders." "last i checked you aren't a doctor." "last i checked you're still sick, so go lie down." if you still refuse, he'll pout at you, "please? for me?" he knows the unstoppable power of his puppy eyes, and he also knows you get completely swayed whenever he uses them, so he tends to utilise the adorable expression to his advantage when he can. being a harbinger means that he treats everything like a battle and always knows how to get the upper hand - perks of the job?
if he wasn't a wanted criminal in literally every country in teyvat, childe would go get medicine for you from the nearest pharmacy, but unfortunately, he is. hence why he disguises himself in a huge overcoat and messy blonde wig to try and appear more normal - who's going to tell him it only makes him stand out more? either way, he manages to get the medicine for you, although he'll quickly brush it off if you ever ask why he has a wig lying around when you recover.
overall, if you ever fall sick, childe is an amazing nurse to have, as he actually knows how to cook, gets you the right medicine, and you'll be back on your feet in no time. once you're well though, expect a lot of cuddles from tartaglia, as he claims that he needs to make up for the few days he was deprived of your touch.
venti.
venti may be the (ex)-anemo archon, but he has absolutely no clue how on earth to nurse a sick person. that doesn't mean he isn't worried about you though! as soon as he realises you've fallen ill, he brings you to the cathedral, and begs barbara to heal you. the deaconess is slightly suspicious of venti after what he did to the holy lyre, but she can see the genuine concern in his blue-green eyes, plus it's her pleasure to help others, so of course barbara accepts his plea.
even though he isn't actively healing or nursing you, venti still stays by your side the entire time. in fact, venti stares suspiciously at literally every single thing that the nuns bring to help you, questioning them and ensuring it is of the highest possible quality, because he only wants the best for his windblume. he's also always buzzing around you, a bit like a bee, flitting from side to side to make sure you're alright. in fact, the only way barbara could get him to sit still and keep quiet was by threatening to kick him out because he was hindering your recovery.
since venti pretty much has nothing to do except drink, play songs at the plaza, and relax his days away, he spends all of his time with you. most of the time you're half-asleep, which according to barbara is normal because you need as much rest as you can get. however, venti worries that you'll get bored, and so he sings to you, strumming his lyre gently from his seat beside your bed. his mellifluous voice helps ease you into a deep sleep, with a small smile curving your face. when you recover, venti claims it was mostly his singing that cured you, and barbara only did a quarter of the work.
as soon as you're well enough, venti takes you back home, where he surprises you with a huge bouquet of windwheel asters and cecilias as a token of how much he missed you. he'll be stuck to your side like glue for the rest of the foreseeable future, whining dramatically every time you try to leave - there isn't much difference from his normal self, to be honest, so you don't mind either way.
basically venti tries his best to be as supportive and helpful as possible while you're ill, even if he does get in the healer's way most of the time and ends up getting scolded, it's worth it to see your joyous smile when you're healthy again.
xiao.
xiao is the only living yaksha left, and he has conquered horrific demons for millenia, but when it comes to mortal illnesses, he's at a loss for what to do. he does know you need to rest, so he carries you to his bedroom at wangshu inn and tucks you into bed. he even allows you to press a grateful kiss to his cheek, which quickly turn red after, claiming 'adepti aren't affected by sicknesses such as these.'
honestly, xiao is going to be the most terrified about you falling sick. he's always known mortals were weak in comparison to adepti, but this is the first time he's truly being faced with your evident mortality. sure, it's just a cold, but xiao is being hit with the reality that you could easily die from something like this, whereas he wouldn't even fall ill in the first place. and so from here on, he tries to be a lot more vocal and physical about his love for you, and though it's difficult, he really is trying his best to convey his emotions to you.
xiao dislikes liyue harbour, not because it's ugly or because it threatens to take away his job as the number one defender of liyue, but because of the crowds. it hurts his head to hear all their countless desires ringing out as he strolls through, and he feels as if he's only tainting their happiness by merely being there. but for you, xiao would walk through hell and back, so he sharpens his resolve, and after a quick consultation with verr goldet, heads off to bubu pharmacy. baizhu is amazed that there is a genuine adeptus standing at his entrance, but wraps up the medicine and demands the payment. however, baizhu is a very sly man, and he knows very well this adeptus has no clue what is going on, and hence baizhu charges an extremely exorbitant price for the medicines. but when xiao pays it without hesitation, walking off a second later, baizhu wonders if he should have asked for more.
back at wangshu inn, xiao will ensure you take your medicines and also request for food to be sent up to the room three times a day - since he has his own duties as a yaksha too, he can't cook for you, although some part of him secretly wishes he could. xiao does check in on you whenever he can though! you'll usually be sleeping when he pops into the room, but he'll adjust your blanket, change the cloth on your forehead, and try to make you as comfortable as possible.
it's safe to say xiao is overjoyed when you recover, though it's only obvious by the way he holds onto tighter and for longer than usual when he hugs you for a few days after your recovery. and he's basically the sweetest ever, so 10/10 recommend getting a personal xiao to be your nurse if you're sick.
zhongli.
zhongli, consultant of the wangsheng funeral parlour, and former geo archon is probably able to compete with childe for how well he takes care of you when you're sick. zhongli's renowned for being chock full of knowledge, and this goldmine of information stored in his head even extends to illnesses and their cures, luckily for you.
zhongli is a man who lives his life with order, so the first thing he'll do if you fall sick is request leave from master hu tao. she obviously permits him, she's literally the captain of the y/n x zhongli ship. next, he'll return home and make you lie down on the fluffy bed, stacking up pillows all around you while also opening the windows so you can have some crisp fresh air. after that, he'll manage to make some porridge for you and if you're so sick that you can't eat it yourself, zhongli willingly feeds you - he's just that much of a sweetheart.
aside from your illness, things would be totally perfect if it wasn't for your boyfriend's utter lack of mora. baizhu's prices are ridiculously high, but they do promise a speedy recovery, and that takes priority over the cost for zhongli. and that is how he finds himself at childe's doorstep, asking to borrow some of the famed currency. childe's pockets are deep, almost too deep, so he has no qualms about lending zhongli as much money as he needs. things work out then, as zhongli ends up with enough finances to purchase medicine, baizhu gets to make a profit, childe still has enough money to buy a planet, and you get to recover from your sickness! it's a win-win situation for everybody.
while you're resting, zhongli will usually sit beside you, reading his book and checking on you every few minutes. if you're awake but still needing to lie down, zhongli will oblige you and tell you stories of when he was an archon. you're the only person he trusts enough to share these tales and experiences with - you should consider yourself blessed, for even after all his millions of years of living, you shine like gold in his memories. if you're the playful type, this is your best opportunity to get zhongli to do whatever you want. he's always been wrapped around your little finger, but when you're ill? if you asked him to jump, he'd immediately ask 'how high?' he's completely head over heels for you.
so yes, overall, zhongli is also one of the best boys to have take care of you when you're sick, because he's very attentive to your needs, and with his wealth of information, you'll be on your feet again in no time.

zhongli honestly has no idea how or why on earth he is so popular, or why he tends to have fans swooning over his incredibly deep voice whenever he answers an interviewer. his manager claims it's because he's the type of guy who seems rare nowadays - polite, kind, friendly, smart... the list goes on and on. zhongli really appreciates the support of his fans, and he knows he'd be nowhere without them, but sometimes it truly does get overwhelming. so today, he's decided he's going to take some time off for himself.
zhongli's at his favourite cafe, it's one he used to frequent back when he was still a d-list celeb who had no chance of being recognised and mobbed. he hasn't been here in ages, and the familiar ambiance washes over him like a warm hug. a sigh of relief escapes his throat, causing him to tug his mask higher up on his face to hide his features. he's really praying that nobody notices him, because he likes the quiet tranquility of this hole-in-the-wall cafe, it's like his little secret which he doesn't want to share, not to mention the fact that he doesn't feel like dealing with the paparazzi today.
"hi sir, welcome to genshin cafe! what can i get for you on this lovely spring day?" you skip up to him and ask, already whipping out your pen and notebook to jot down his order. zhongli holds his breath as he turns to face you, though it's almost knocked out of his lungs as he realises just how gorgeous you are. he thanks celestia the mask conceals his expression, because he doesn't even want to think of how embarrassing it would be if you caught him gaping at you. "i'd like a cup of glaze lily tea and a couple of scones, please," he quickly formulates a coherent reply, hoping you don't mention the pause before he answered. you tuck the pen back into your pocket with a shining grin, "sure, coming right up!"
eventually you come back to serve him the dishes, with a friendly wish, "i hope you enjoy your meal, sir." "thank you, i'm sure i will," zhongli says, smiling up at you before taking a sip of the tea. his eyes widen in surprise, and he files a question away in his mind before starting to snack on the scones. later, as he's paying the bill, he asks, "did you brew tea from earlier?" you ring up the total, glad that he isn't complaining about it, "yup! did you like it?" "honestly speaking, it was one of the best brewed cups i've ever had the pleasure of tasting," zhongli compliments you, genuineness spilling into his tone, "how did you do it?" giggling, you wink, "that's a secret! perhaps you'll be able to find out if you meet me after work."
he laughs, "i think i will," prompting you to chuckle in reply as you hand him the receipt. and when zhongli notices the hastily scrawled phone number with the message 'call me' scribbled onto the piece of paper, he doesn't bother thinking about what his manager will say, or his fanbase, or his co-workers - he's just too full of excitement to meet with you later. was this what those characters he played in his long repertoire of movies meant when they talked about love at first sight?

his room is very dark. It's lit up by colored LEDs, stuff like that. He also probably has a light-up green glowy lightning bolt taped to his wall. also has like his yaksha mask with glowy accents from like fanmail and stuff. also related to the event request i sent, his door is probably somewhere behind him, otherwise, how would they see the reader entering his room? also only his viewers know this, but behind him, he has a shelf with various items on it. most of the shelf. has plants. it clashes with his personality, but matches with his color scheme. he used to just not sleep (poor baby drank too much monster hehe) but his S/O helps him with it <3 also has all his g-fuel on the shelf. (secretly has one of those froggo hats) tired and cranky 24/7 but still has amazing aim even if he's tired???? trying to fix his bad posture. childe called zhongli a boomer once. xiao just- snapped. who dares to insult his dear brother like that? let's just say... childe didnt last long in the next few rounds... (totally not long because im biased)
Ganyu
has a very aesthetic cozy room. When Xiao, Ganyu, and Zhongli moved in, （she was 12 and xiao was 10 , zhongli was 20 at the time, Ganyu is currently 21 , Xiao is currently 19, Zhongli is currently 29） she took her time, hanging her fairy lights, carefully placing all her comfort plushies on the shelf. She recently placed polaroids of her and her S/O in a heart shape, of course with her S/O's assistance. Helped Zhongli and Xiao decorate their rooms. (Xiao used to have those giant wall stickers yk? yeah he used to have one of spiderman, dont tell anybody) Has a neatly stacked pile of work papers. Just very aesthetic in general. def makes you hot cocoa on bad days. did a stream where her viewers spent her earnings on valentines gifts for you (awwwwww) zhongli was slightly confused when there were like 12 packages at their apartment door.
Zhongli
Very beige and vintage. He just has a lot of shelves. Like a lot lot. He collects teapots, and just interacts with chat while sipping tea. If he's lucky enough to get a donation, he spends it on new tea sets or tea that his chat chooses. But the tea set choosing has rules!! Rule 1 is no NSFW (if nsfw teacups even exist), Rule 2 is no Gore(if that even exists), and rule 3 is has to fit the budget. He also has a wishlist of tea sets he wants to get, and his viewers can donate to help him get the tea sets on his wishlist. Is very grateful for every donation he gets. Has fairy lights and a lot of different types of tea on the shelves. Also has a lot of books on the shelves. idk what else to write other than he collects tea sets and also tea.

the shop bell dings softly as zhongli enters, ducking his head slightly to fit through the door. soft lo-fi music filters through the concealed speakers, and the wonderful fragrance of fresh flowers wafts into zhongli's nose as he strolls in, instantly feeling a wave of serenity wash over him. your flower shop has always been a place of peace for him, a refuge where he can hide from his hectic schedule and busy days packed with consultations, not to mention his chaotic boss hu tao. and besides being zhongli's nepenthe, the flower shop holds what he holds closest to his heart and treasures with his entirety - you.
zhongli is jolted out of his thoughts by the sight of some other man in front of you, clasping your hands excitedly and pumping them up and down in a very aggressive handshake. the man's wild ginger hair sticks up in all directions, and his ocean blue eyes are filled with joy as he thanks you profusely. "it's no problem, really. i mean it is my job to help customers find exactly what they need," you reply with a pleasant smile, ringing up his total and giving him the change. the peculiar man cups a bouquet of blood-red roses in his hands, hefting it to collect the extra coins before saluting you, "thanks comrade, i owe you one! i'll be back again tomorrow~" he completely ignores zhongli as he walks out, far too engrossed in humming an off-key tune to himself.

"hi, zhongli!" you beam warmly, and zhongli thinks that he could compare the radiance of your smile to the sun breaking out from behind the clouds.
"y/n, who was that man from earlier?" your boyfriend queries, trying his best to seem only innocent and inquisitive, not raging with envy. however, nothing gets past your alertness, so you shoot him a quizzical glance but answer anyway, "just a customer. i think his name was childe? why, do you know him?" zhongli recoils slightly from your question, brain working at the speed of light to think up some excuse, while also planning if he could ask master hu tao to reserve a coffin for someone named childe, "nothing, beloved. just curiosity, i suppose."
"zhongli~" you draw out the syllables of his name teasingly, stepping out from behind the counter, "could it be that perhaps... you're jealous?" a lightbulb seems to go off in zhongli's head as he realises that's how to describe the feeling that's threatening to swallow him whole, the feeling that makes him want to pepper you with kisses till your head spins and you don't have eyes for anyone else. "...i think you're right, y/n," zhongli admits, his golden eyes flickering up to yours with a hint of uncertainty.
a huge playful grin stretches across your cheeks, and you skip over to your boyfriend before hugging him tightly, "aw, zhongli! you know i'd never leave you." "i do indeed, my beloved. but the reassurance does no harm," he smiles at you, tilting his head to capture your lips in a kiss. but then, you say, "also, the guy from earlier was so thrilled because i still had a stock of lilies, which were his boyfriend's favourite flower." zhongli's eyes widen in surprise, and embarrassment paints itself all over his features, "ah. i am rather ashamed."
"perhaps it's time to buy some peonies from me then."
"y/n, if i had the mora, i most definitely would."

zhongli, the consultant of the wangsheng funeral parlour, and the ex-geo archon, possesses a vast array of knowledge on every subject in liyue, and is as familiar with the slopes and curves of its landscape as well as he knows the back of his own hand. yet in matters of the heart, he is still incredibly inexperienced.
however, that doesn't matter to you, in fact you find it endearing to see the usually composed zhongli tripping over his words around you, or his cheeks to be dusted with a light blush as he intertwines his fingers with yours.
another thing you find so adorable about him and that you dearly appreciate is how absorbed he becomes when listening to you ramble on about whatever tickles your fancy. after talking about your latest adventure for a few minutes you will normally panic that he thinks you talk too much, and apologise profusely, but instead he encourages you to continue speaking, offering you his full attention and remaining focused entirely on you - almost as if you're what he cares about most in teyvat, which is true as well.
"could you say that again?" zhongli's baritone voice echoes in your ears as his amber eyes meet yours. your face feels hot, and it's definitely not because of the steam curling up into the air from the teacups in front of you. "weren't you listening?" you query, feeling slightly embarrassed that you had been prattling on for so long that even your boyfriend had lost interest. "no, i was... i just like hearing your voice," zhongli states matter-of-factly, as if him saying that your voice was mellifluous was as perfectly normal thing to say and completely hadn't flustered you to the point where you had to hide your face in your hands.

Kaeya: would be more strategic and tactical, I see him as a Cypher or Sova main, also has a lot of fun placing astra's stars and watching diluc suffer while being sucked into astra's stars.
Klee: A raze main, got into valorant when jean dropped her off at Kaeya's house and watched kaeya play valorant. Just very destructive. eliminated an entire team alongside Xinyan. Yeah, Jean was not happy with that. Alice was probably chill with it. (klee's totally isnt long because she's my favourite character yeah totally not)
Xingqiu: takes his time placing Cypher's traps, or Killjoy's cool ass technologies and stuff. the very smart and strategic player. He outsmarts the other team. a lot. this is short but whatever.
Ningguang: I see her as a Brimstone main, or a Sage main. Depends if she feels like she wants to be the leader of the team, or wants to support the team from the sidelines. has insanely good wifi, insanely good mic, stuff like that. the only time she's ever going to disconnect from calls are if the power runs out which is literally never.
Hu tao: Plays as raze or pheonix. Just very reckless in general. Not sure what else to write for this lmao
Yanfei: Hu tao's girlfriend!! (yantao 4 life babeyyyy) supports Hu tao by playing as sage. Has a job as a lawyer so she doesnt play much.
Qiqi: Hu tao's niece. Got into valorant from klee. Plays as Skye (she just likes the animals ok) or Sage with klee. has slow reaction time tho. (hu tao was very surprised when she saw qiqi in a match.)
Diluc: plays as pheonix or astra, he's way better than kaeya when he plays as astra. okay ill just say he treats valorant as a chess game when he uses astra and he sometimes uses pheonix for his flashes.

first off, NOOO POOR BBYS KJADJKASD SOMEONE GIVE ZHONGLI A RAISE - i just know xiao somehow manages to still be such a good gamer even with his insanely high ping LSKSK (childe's actually kinda jealous bc he has good wifi but dies half the time either way)
kaeya: LMFAOOO he is way too smart omg,,, he plans out where hes going to put trapwires & cameras as a cypher main and idk why i see him as like a sniper? but yes he bullies diluc 90% of the time too HAHA
klee: KLEE PLAYS VAL ??!??!?! teaching the kids young i guess 😭 but yes omg raze main too, plays in a team w kaeya xinyan and diluc,,, scolds diluc when he dies in-game HAHA and also just drops bombs everywhere but somehow gets the team the win ?????? everyone can't tell if it's luck or just genuine planning - spoiler alert, it's some crazy luck. jean's worried klee's going to become a game addict but alice encourages it, saying its' better to get rid of your violent tendencies online than irl LOL
xingqiu: YESS KILLJOY MAIN - i feel like he prefers killing from a distance?? like he prefers to use her tech to detain enemies & stuff instead of getting up close and personal to knife them. also he just thinks her design is rlly badass HAHA
ningguang: rich geo mom. YES SHE HAS THE BEST EQUIPMENT OMGGG i swear her valorant never ever lags and her ping is so low???? xiao is quaking. BRIMSTONE MAIN NINGGUANG !!!!!!!!!!!!! yes omg i agree, she's a whole girlboss , she's badass asf and the ultimate team leader. w her on ur team, ur most likely to defeat the enemy around 13 - 5 LOL
hu tao: my bby omg,, LSKDS i feel like she either mains raze or astra bc she likes astras stars and raze bc explosions, also shes the type who sacrifices other people in her team as bait to get to the spike and deactivate it but later claims their sacrifice was for the greater good, basically she just has a lot of fun while playing and doesnt rlly care abt the ranks as long as she has a good time
yanfei: LETS GOOO YANTAO NATION UNITE !!!! yes omg she plays as sage for sure bc she has to heal her chaotic gf allll the mf time, and even if her schedule doesnt rlly let her play that much she treasures the time that she does bc she gets to spend it w hu tao 🥺
qiqi; QIQI AS A SKYE MAIN BC SHE LIKES THE ANIMALS IM CRYING 😭😭😭 /pos qiqi is kinda bad at val bc of her reaction time which gets her killed before she can shoot back most of the time, but she doesn't mind as long as she's playing w her friends/family
diluc; NOOO HE RLLY IS BETTER THAN KAEYA AT PLAYING ASTRA AJKDAKSJD and he isnt petty enough to rub it in kaeya's face,,, or is he?! he also has a busy schedule, so he doesn't play that often but is literally still such a high rank????? what??????????? mainly bc he treats the whole thing like a chess game & predicts the opponents moves rlly well and ends up being like 10 steps ahead of them HAHA
