family drama and ranting under the cut. read at your own risk, I guess?
I went to my cousin's birthday party today (I didn't want to go for her, I wanted to go bc I only have one family member I can stand that's still around here) and I guess it was...fine? I didn't really talk about anything that would have stressed me out majorly, so that was fine and dandy. On the way home I got the first The 100 book! Also Zoo. anyway, on the way home, I was just wanting to listen to happy music. I played Same Love at first, and then Lady Gaga's Born This Way.
and she stopped Born This Way mid-way through bc she said “look I know you're just wanting to be socially accepting right now, change the world or whatnot, but I just want to listen to happy music.
Like???? that is happy??????? gay = happy yo.
of course I know she probably turned that off because she is biphobic and transphobic AF and I still can't be myself around her because she has literally said that bisexual people are cheaters and she'd never date somebody that is (I'm both polysexual and like polyamory but that drives me up the wall that she'd say such a thing) and that my sexuality was a phase. She compared me to two people who had horrible, deplorable-ass mothers and said “see? aren't I such a GREAT mother? never complain again. I'm always right" essentially. I know that the woman is a feminist and taught me a lot and she was responsible when my dad refused to be what not, but she needs to realize if you're firey, you should use your light to lead the way for others, not let it go everywhere and hurt everything you see just because it makes you happy.
Like, ok, I may have low-key considered coming out to you again, but now I see again why I was so extremely closeted for 18 years of my life, lol fuck you bitch.
