Phylum was taking a walk in the disciplinary department; Apparently, the new abnormality the manager got wasn’t fit for newer employees, so he had to work with it. To be fair, he never liked the disciplinary department. Too harsh, too strict, would probably end up doing something if they found out Phylum for doing concerning things, even when he isn’t on low sanity, like allowing the birds to escape.
He was on his way back until he saw some... guy, completely dead on the pavement.
Well, passed out, but it didn’t hurt to think he was dead for a second; people die here so often, all things considered.
“What the hell...?” He spoke, poking the body with the tip of his shoe, even tapping his clipboard on the torso of the body.

SHIT! i have known you for so long (man, like, 3 years??? might be 4!) and i never regretted a second of it! you’re probably sick of hearing this so many times, but even though we don’t talk as much as we used to, i still care for our friendship very deeply! you have no clue! i love talking to you and catching up with what’s been happening with your life, and even if our conversations tend to be short, i still find them as enjoyable as back when we met. i! love! you! so! much!

and to my other friends, whom i love as equally, i thank you all so much for being with me in 2016! i thank the ones who talked to me often, and the ones that didn’t do so as often (which is fine! not everybody is good at making conversation).
