yue qingyuan forgets to take off his reading glasses before his scheduled meeting with shen qingqiu and liu qingge but it causes a bit of a stir because no one knew this whole time that he wore glasses.
at some point sqq steals the glasses and tries them on to see how bad yqy’s vision actually is because he can’t trust yqy to tell him the truth.

after yqy stares at sqq for a little too long, sqq forces the glasses on lqg, thinking that they won’t suit the brute whatsoever. sqq forgets about the power of the ✨ liu family genes ✨ and lqg somehow manages to look even hotter. sqq is pissed. yqy feels hot under the collar. both of them are very much in lqg’s personal space. meanwhile, lqg is just confused— it’s just glasses. why are you so angry.
I mentioned this a while ago in my head canon mega post, but I want to elaborate on Liu Qingges puppy crush on Yue Qingyuan.
I absolutely think when LQG first was appointed head disciple of Bai Zhan Peak, his first instinct would have been to try and fight every other head disciple. He, of course, trounced almost everyone.
Except for Yue Qingyuan.
When Liu Qingge dueled him, he fucking whacked that kid into next week with his bare hands, then apologized and gently helped him up and bandaged his scrapes for him. This combination of martial strength and gentleness pinged off of baby Qingges two braincells and he pretty much immediately started following YQY around like a puppy.
Now, of course, YQY has no idea this is a crush. He thinks his youngest martial sibling has latched onto him for help in learning about his new role as head disciple, and all of Yue Qingyuans big brother instincts instantly kick in, and he starts helping out LQG with his paperwork, sparring with him, introducing him to other head disciples in a meetup WITHOUT swords, etc.
Liu Qingge, too, has no idea this is a crush. He got bonked so hard it rewrote his brain chemistry and all he really knows is he really wants to be around Yue Qingyuan and fight him a lot, and maybe bite him? He deals with these strange and unusual emotions by murdering things and dragging them back to Qiong Ding like some kind of housecat.
Shen Jiu knows fucking damn well that it's a crush and he is PISSED. Who is this little CRETIN following around his Qi- the SECT HEIR. He has absolutely no manners and is no better than a rabid dog. Having this BABOON lurking around the head disciple of Qiong Ding surely cannot be helping the sects reputation!! He's going to make a fool of them all!!! NO SHEN JIU IS NOT JEALOUS!!!
So obviously he HAS to start terrorizing Liu Qingge whenever possible, insulting the disgusting carcasses he keeps dragging up to the future sect leader, getting in fights and putting itching cream in LQGs robes. It's only to protect the sect's reputation. Besides, Yue Qingyuan LEFT him! He does NOT get to just move on with some new, pathetic feral beast!! Shen Jiu is NOT HAVING THIS!!!
Liu Qingge had no idea why Shen Qingqiu hates him.
Yue Qingyuan thinks Shen Qingqiu hates Liu Qingge because he's spending so much time around YQY, and thinks YQY is trying to spread his awfulness or forget about what he did by making a friend. (He is half right.)
So YQY tries to distance himself from LQG, but it's too late and LQG and SQQ already have their rivalry going.
Alternatively for those who don't like canon compliant angst and would like a happy ending:
Shen Jiu continues his fucking Wile E. Coyote shenanigans against LQG, until he and LQG get stuck on a night hunt or something together and SJ gets truth pollened. LQG uses this opportunity to question SJ about why he hates him, and SJ yells at him about his crush on YQY. He's absolutely baffled, at which point SJ realizes he's dealing with a fucking idiot.
Not sure where this would go but its gotta be endgame Qijiuliu
Liu Qingge, Shen Jiu and Yue Qingyuan getting stuck in a sex pollen situation but it just turns into Shen Jiu and Liu Qingge fighting over Yue Qingyuans dick.
Shen Jius possessiveness kicking in and refusing to get off after getting his turn with Yue Qingyuan.
Tbh I think the only resolution they could come to where Liu Qingge lives is Shen Jiu wrapping around Yue Qi like a koala while Liu Qingge gets fisted. I can see Shen Jiu seeing that at less personal.

I just had sj pop into my head after his first proper heat (without suppressants) when lqg and yqy took care of him. lqg being the only one who could knot him to ease the heat while yqy was there for moral support and praise.
SJ had a check up with mqf and got the news that he is in fact pregnant.
All three are shocked, sj starts crying in that shocked silent way.
Mqf informs them that due to poorly healed damage he has noticed during the examination he is unsure if sj will have that ability to get pregnant again should they terminate this pregnancy.
LQG asks Sj what he wants since it's his body.
"I always thought if I ever ended up having a child it would be qi-ge's"
(yqy's brain just stops working at those words)
SJ can't put into words what he feels about carrying lqg's child so he asks for time to think. Mqf tells him the time frame where it's still feasible to terminate with the least amount of risk to his health and sends them on their way.
Yqy fusses. He checks in on sj several times a day. He eventually learns where the damage mqf mentioned came from and he wished resurrections were a thing so he could bring a mf back to kill him personally... multiple times.
LQG keeps his distance at first to give sj the space to make his decision but even as the pregnancy progresses and sj still just evades with 'I need to think about it' lqg eventually gets that sj is not gonna abort but just can't bring himself to say so and make it reality. That's when lqg becomes a more present figure, hunting for all sorts of creatures and plants that are said to make pregnancies easier on the mother and help developer a strong healthy baby.
Sj constantly complains about suffocating under his two fussy alphas but secretly he very much enjoys it.
LiuJiu competitive sex but it’s seeing who can get yqy to curse. Whoever finishes first loses, if YQY finishes before cursing, it’s a forfeit. He does not know this is the game being played, YQY is just enjoying being a chew toy with a squeaker of punched out moans.
