sometimes i remember that khayman's idea of fun is throwing rocks through windows. no wonder armand didn't vibe with him. they're different kinds of freak. armand would've liked him in his Benjamin era terrorizing talamasca agents tho

I'm obsessed with how overwhelming the Night Island coven times must have been for Armand. Overnight he goes from more than a century of living with no more than just one guy to living with:
His 500 years estranged maker
His first ever fledgling
The guy who kidnapped/tortured/brainwashed him 500 years ago then disappeared
His ex
His celebrity crush (Lestat)
His celebrity crushes mother whom he has a one-sided feud with
And a bunch of other guys! In his house!
And they're all various degrees of traumatized by the events that lead to this coven.
as ever hannah being involved as show runner makes me so grr, hopefully though the lack of rj in the writers room and hannah in that role means we actually get some decent writing that doesn't regress, victim blame or water down these complicated characters.( hopefully it goes how the book does and we get lestat over arching theme with everyone getting their pov moment while sheila hypnotises us and lures us in throughout the season. praying they give her the promotion she deserves, the characterisation she deserves and we see more dark gothic themes next season.
"Only if you resist what happens are you at the mercy of what happens, and the world will determine your happiness and unhappiness". - pg 200
Oversharing and Overcaring Rings true To the core
Not knowing Whether to stop Or continue giving more
The endless energy you’d give In favour of them
To the point where there’s almost An expected synchronicity
But then realising that not everyone Will be on the same page as you
So there’s No point in ruminating Because if resistance is felt It will be telling
To know who’s A passing passage And who is destined To stay in your story
