q: what are the benefits of looking at and engaging with works of art? what purposes can art serve?
a: the benefits of looking and engaging with art is potentially gaining new knowledge, technique, and inspiration from different art forms/styles. the purposes art can serve is telling a story, expressing an emotion, giving a certain person a sign or message, and other meaningful objectives.
q: do art or artists have responsibility to do anything in particular?
a: short answer is no. i do think that the basic fundamentals of art should be learned from specific rules, but i believe artwork in general should be free and wild. it’s up to the artist to do anything they want in anyway they desire.

What are the benefits of looking at and engaging with works of art?
• there are many benefits when looking at and engaging with works of art, one being inspiration. a lot of artists are inspired by other artists creations.
What purposes can art serve?
• art can be emotional, art can having deeper meaning, art can be humorous, art can be sad, art can be disgusting, the list goes on!!! Art has many purposes that can have emotional or physical appeal.
Do art or artists have a responsibility to do anything in particular?
• i feel like artists shouldn’t have a responsibility as long as it isn’t like their job to create art lol. artists should feel joy in creating work it shouldn’t feel like a burden
What age can somebody be considered independent? Define independent. -The age depends on the degree of independence. Financial independence doesn't have much to do with age and everything to do with the individual's determination, willpower, and job status (congrats on your first job btw!). Mental/emotional independence depends on the maturity of the individual, not age. Though, I would hazard a guess and say most people reach that maturity between the ages of 16 and 22. Not all though.
