Stetopher AU: Stiles leaves the FBI and returns to Beacon Hills, but he's far from the boy he was before. Peter and Chris are surprised to find that the bright, clever, sarcastic little shit they once knew has become a bitter, jaded, haunted young man. They know he's keeping secrets and there's more to his leaving the FBI than he's willing to tell. Now, if only they can get him to open up about what he's running from, before it gets them all killed.
Chris would find this a whole lot easier if he could stop getting distracted every time he sees Stiles with a gun in his hand. Having a gun pointed at his head should really not give him a hard on, and he'd much rather focus on the clear signs of PTSD and hypervigilance Stiles is displaying than the confidence and ease with which he wields the weapon in his hand. Peter's not helping any, whispering filthy things in Chris's ear and teasing him about his competency kink and penchant for falling for people who can kill him.
This is just a plot I came up with while creating this moodboard for @stetopherweek2025, not something I currently plan on writing. Feel free to adopt the plot and tag me so I can see anything you create for it.
Stetopher AU: A decade after the fire that took most of his family, Peter Hale is finally ready to go home. Together with his husband and two young daughters, Peter returns back to Beacon Hills to reclaim his family's land and prepare for the rest of his pack's arrival. Moving into a quiet suburb bordering the preserve while they wait for their new home to be built, Peter is shocked when the Sheriff, his new neighbor, informs him that there's a new pack in town.
Peter has many questions. What happened in the years they were gone? Why does the land feel so alive now? Who is this new pack, and why have they yet to meet their mysterious alpha? How does the Sheriff know about the supernatural, and why did he feel the need to warn Chris that hunting in the area would not be tolerated? What is it about the family next door that makes it so hard for them to stay away?
And why does their youngest daughter keep getting drawn out into the woods, returning with stories of a friendly fox guiding her home?
Stetopher AU: Stiles is finally free. He's graduated and left Beacon Hills for good, ready to put the horrors of his high school years behind. New York seems about as far from home as he can get without leaving the continent, so he rents the cheapest apartment he can find and starts looking for a job. Deciding to apply for a temp job at a popular magazine while he figures out his next steps, Stiles somehow walks out the personal assistant to Neckz 'N Throats CEO, Peter Hale.
Stiles isn't entirely sure what to expect from being the PA of a rich and successful CEO, but this isn't it. Sure the job starts out pretty ordinary; fetching the man his coffee, organizing his meetings, handling his correspondence, coordinating with other staff to make sure things run smoothly. But it's not long before Stiles is getting pulled further and further into his life.
Stiles can excuse jet-setting across the globe with the man on his private jet when he's traveling to attend events or photoshoots or international business meetings, but he isn't so sure that his job description is supposed to include accompanying the man and his handsome photographer husband on their overseas vacation or their fancy ass boat. As if having to see them in their sexy business suits wasn't bad enough, now he has to live with visions of what they look like walking out of the ocean in nothing but low-hanging swim trunks and water cascading down their bodies. Stiles is pretty sure he's going to physically combust before they every make it back to US soil.
Oh god I just remembered that I created these two moodboards last night right before I fell asleep because I couldn't get the Stetopher Pirates AU out of my head. @takaraphoenix
First one focused more on the Petopher enemies-to-lovers dynamic on their way to save Stiles. 2nd is based on full Stetopher.
Escaping Eichen: Nobody in Beacon Hills will listen to Stiles when he protests the decision to put Peter in Eichen House after La Iglesia, preferring to just wash their hands of him once and for all. But Stiles's conscience - and the memories that still haunt him - won't let it stand. When Chris returns to Beacon Hills and makes a big fuss about Peter's imprisonment, Stiles senses an opportunity and pounces.
Stiles and Chris work together to get Peter out of Eichen. It takes a few months for their plan to fall into place, but they only get one shot at this, and everything afterwards will change. Staying in Beacon Hills is no longer an option.
A log cabin in the Colorado mountains, unknown by anyone and owned under an alias, is their goal. It will take time for Peter to recover from the horrors of Eichen, and they all need time to heal from the wounds their lives in Beacon Hills had wrought. There they will heal, plan for a future they never thought possible, and grow closer in ways they never could have imagined. Maybe happiness isn't so far out of reach after all.
First draft snippet under the cut
Chris drove for sixteen hours straight with minimal stops for gas, food, and bathroom breaks until they reached the northern Colorado mountains. There was an old hunting cabin there that hadn’t been properly used since his maternal grandfather’s days. A beautiful two story log cabin surrounded by forest, the nearest neighbour almost twenty minutes away by car. His mother had taken him there a few times when he was a kid, and he’d checked up on it again a few years ago. She had kept it under an alias so it wouldn’t be connected to the Argent name, and Chris had figured it could make a good safehouse if one was ever needed. It was needed now.
The first few days were rough, Valeck and the constant dose of wolfsbane had really done a number on Peter. But slowly Peter’s normal personality started to seep back in and he started to trust that Stiles and Chris really were helping him.
It ended up being good for all three of them. They were all a mess, honestly. Being away from the black hole that was Beacon Hills, the constant danger and drama and reminders of the past, did them all good. As did talking, something none of them were particularly good at and yet somehow they kept drawing it out of each other.
Peter and Chris got together first, rekindling their old relationship and working out two decades worth of history and anger and guilt. Two weeks in they went from fighting to fucking in a matter of minutes, one minute screaming at each other with tempers flaring hot, the next they were kissing. Stiles had stormed out at the start of the fight, unable to put up with their bickering, and by the time he returned two hours later they were back to normal and pretending nothing happened. It took a few days of falling into bed together for them to work things out — and for Stiles to catch them showering together.
Stiles was happy for them, glad they were working things out, even if part of him ached over it. His feelings for both men had grown exponentially in their time together and living in close quarters with them was already difficult. If he had to start putting up with the two of them having sex and being physically affectionate and loving with each other, he thought he might just physically combust.
It only took another three days though before the two men admitted their feelings for Stiles and their dynamics changed again. Peter’s fault, of course. He was an inherently selfish man and wasn’t bothered by the same morals as Chris when it came to Stiles’s age, even if he was over 18. He wasn’t going to let them sit there pining for each other when they all wanted the same thing and could quite easily have it.
