(Anyways, I am curious about what it would take to right the righteous Remy train and get him and Charley back together. Like, first, he’d definitely need to cut out whatever is happening with Nova. And???)

don’t get me started on the Nova/Remy situation, y’all, because I get it (I GET IT) that sometimes you don’t see somebody in a romantic light until one day it clicks. I get that sometimes people come into our lives through other people, and it’s messy. I get that sometimes the right person might be right there and we don’t even recognize.
I just also get that this is not the sort of thing this family needs right now. This is not the sort of mess Nova should be okay with accepting into her life, especially when she’s already a bit on the rocks with Charley for Charley’s business decisions. Nova can say all she wants that she might not be doing anything wrong, but she’s got to feel that dishonesty, doesn’t she? She’s got to know that for her to feel even a bit of something and spend a bunch of time with him -- that’s not okay.
don’t go fishing with Remy. find somebody else. look for somebody else. do something else. and if he’s that route to reconnecting with your father and your history, it damn sure needs to be platonic because this? this is the sort of thing that makes it real hard to trust somebody, anybody, ever again.
ooooh child, the age difference between Micah and Tia is the same as Nova dn Charley. I am ti red
pls let us meet Prosper’s daughter and let her be a good match for (AU Charley fics! or, also) Nova who could be with a woman that also didn’t want to stick around in the farm lands.

Do you have any (QS) polyam ships?
Not reeeeally. I feel like a lot of the ships I support are usually specific/two partners. Anybody else have any?
Talk about a (QS) ship you feel alone in shipping.
I’m not alone in any of my ships for this show, I think. I’m pretty pro-exploring Charley/Davis, though, which I think might be the loneliest opinion? At the same time, I think a bunch of us fans are upset and fascinated about the (seemingly) strong family unit that was the Bordelon-Wests.
Talk about one of your favorite headcanons for a (QS) ship you love.
For Charley and Remy, my favorite headcanon was/is that they would go for walks on the land. Quiet ones sometimes. Funny ones. Feeling the ancestors around them and Ernest in the air, and their hands would be intertwined until that heat reminded them just how much they could sweat from everywhere.
honestly, based off of this pilot, I’m gonna be in so deep for Black Lightning. please y’all don’t let this be another QS. Show up and show out.
@ Remy Newell, what do you need to trust Charley? do you need to talk to somebody? do you just need time? you need to do exercises where you lead each other across minefields to make sure you listen to each other w/o second guessing or trying to pre-empt shit?
dude, I’m trying to trust you, but you’re out here constantly bouncing between giving your all and doubting her with the simplest of decisions. like, if you can talk about forever with that clear of a fucking voice and vision, why are you still like this? why are you out here making sly implications/comments about how far she’s willing to go to do what needs to be done?
she doesn’t need somebody’s permission. she doesn’t even technically need a partner, so if you really want this, then let it be known what you think and what you’re really trying to ask of her. bc Charley’s gonna be Charley, with or without you. that means playing the game, but she’s not stepping out on you or anything like that. you’re a big deal. accept that and act like it.
fr fr, we all spent time wondering if Charley’s ready and shit, that’s what other people mention, but is he??????
Same Remy ain't shit anon here. I saw this coming as soon as Remy hit the scene. Good guy fallacy. Nothing glaringly wrong with him on the surface, but a person who continues to question your motives, character, general way of being, is a person who says (ever so politely): "You are not now and will never be enough. Unless of course you allow me to mold you into a better person." No different from Nova's politician ex. Both were walking red flags. Good QS showed this. Don't compromise yourself.
it aches, though.
I held out hope for Remy to be the strong sort of guy who could handle having a woman like Charley in his life. but, you are so very right. he only wants compromise, and large character compromises aren’t something anyone should do.
at this point, my biggest question is whether or not the writers will let the relationship end, or if we’ll (and they’ll) still be on this hook of what if. one vision I have is of an actual split. of Remy pulling back from the family where he can because he doesn’t look at Charley and see an uncomplicated future. of him popping up where he can -- on the other side of Charley’s desk, with Ralph Angel after class, eating breakfast at the HY when he figures that he can go in without it starting anything.
and if they did want to bring them back together, actually show us how their lives are like without the other. show us her alone, and give us a break from him so we can miss him. give us all the beats and slow down in the way that they did for season one and building this relationship. bc steps slipped by in season two, and whenever they did slow down, it’s clear that Charley and Remy hadn’t put in some of the work.
I’d be down to see what Charley’s life is like without Remy. a truly single Charley, who maybe makes some friends, or re-connects with old ones. what does that even look like?
