the behaviour of the new Code Eggs that appeared during the event for the new server members has me thinking back. Back to the election dinner, and two little imposter eggs.
To one very specific imposter egg, who tried to stick to Phil’s side, who followed him about the room. Who punched at him desperately for attention.
Only to be told they were not his son. Not his egg.
Watching Fit’s POV, you just see that little egg sink into itself, into the floor, retreating to the back of the room as it radiates sorrow while Phil purposefully walks away.
Fit follows, speaking kind reassurances, and receives an answer - in the clearest writing we’ve seen before or since for a Code-Egg.
“He doesn’t love me anymore.”
I have a theory on this. On why these words made me so sad for an egg that turned into an entity, in spite of being so glad that the “real” Tallulah and Chayanne weren’t actually there. But that’s going to have to wait until tomorrow.
(“He doesn’t love me anymore.” The saddest words in existence.)
