day 5 no qsmp. quesadilla island is naught but a distant memory. the idea of talking eggs and bears with guns are but vague concepts that hold no meaning anymore. i can no longer recall the faces of the streamers nor the sound of their voices. my rations of island reset reaction compilations and out of context prison clips have run all but dry. i havent had a button to press on qsmp.global for days. 7 days remain until the server reopens and i fear i shall not survive to see it.

playing around with the qsmp.global quiz, i think the island guest option is really interesting. i just played around with picking some pretty unhinged answers and got it (dirt, dirt, create a trapped maze, my child is freerange, popcorn machine, green couch, furniture, judging my taste in furniture, lavacast, oh my god what did i do).

so i think what this tells us is that this is what the federation thinks of the islanders. fancier blocks get you to work for the federation; islanders like dirt. they don't do reasonable things with their gardens; they lavacast everything instead. they don't take care of their children but instead irresponsibly let them roam around and do what they want. even when they're dangerous enough to kill or hurt the federation, they don't know what they're doing.

this feels like a rude depiction of them, but that feels very on purpose. most of us get federation workers, because that's the point the federation is trying to make. the federation are the nice, reasonable people who make the logical decisions. and if most of us are so sensible, we should be sensible enough to understand and support them, right?
