Todd slumps against the door once it's closed behind him. Amanda is never going to believe this. Todd hardly believes it. The idea that Dirk Gently was in his house, wearing his clothes, and Todd spent that time wondering about apricots in honey, it seems so stupid.

There's a knock on the door and Todd jumps in fright. It's Dirk, looking a bit sheepish. Todd can hardly believe it. "You came back." He says.

Dirk smiles, for a second. "I forgot one of my bags."

this was so FUN and epic and in character! i’ve never seen notting hill so i can only imagine the extra delight for those familiar with the source universe, but this au absolutely works on its own. the relationships are complex and authentic and the characterisation is so good. enjoy the many fun nods to dghda references - i think we should make a bingo card for this one!

Save Dirk Gently: Day 13

Favourite scene! Heads up, I have more than one and (surprise surprise) they’re Rowdy-centric. I regret nothing.

Unsurprisingly I love the scene where Amanda finally speaks to the grimy punks that have been following her around for a while. She gives as good as she gets from the word go and I love her. I also love the way the guys accept her as she is without question.

That Hug that killed us all also rates incredibly highly because we as an audience needed a win at that point in the season and WOW did we get it. (Ignoring the last few seconds of Hobbs but whatever)
