"Hey... was wonderin'... if you wanted to go ta' Pride wit' me. I mean we've had our share of medical stuff lately figured we deserved a break."
by the time that harley began talking to blamore about pride, he'd been soaking up some sun for about thirty minutes — sunglasses covering his eyes and a see-through sleeveless top, as well as some white lace shorts adorning his body. wearing light material like this did tend to help the sun reach its plants more. and as such, the creature had changed upon discovering that its plants were looking a bit droopy that day. but in any case... in the present, blamore was just about to go to sleep until he heard harley's voice.
his eyes widened beneath his sunglasses afterward as he adjusted his position just a little bit on the lounge chair out of surprise. it took blamore a moment to process what exactly was said, but when it did, one could tell because it took the sunglasses off of its eyes and rose them up to rest on the crown of its head. blamore immediately felt flattered by the sentiment as it pressed a lichen-covered hand over its heart; his bluish-green eyes having a sort of sheen over them in awe, ❝ o-oh, well, i'd love to go to pride with you! that honestly sounds like it'd be a lot of fun. i'm glad you asked, chérie. ❞
blamore started to completely sit up on the lounge chair he was on soon enough. and once his feet hit the ground as he sat on it sideways, he patted the space next to him as if to politely ask harley to sit next to him. a wide smile began to tug at its lips, ❝ do you want to sit with me? and yeah, that's true. medical things are so stressful to have to deal with; so i totally agree with you on needing a break. ❞ blamore eyes darted over at the book he had been reading before he got sleepy, then back to harley, and his voice was now laced with amusement as he spoke.
❝ maybe we could both talk about what books we're reading, if you've been doing so lately, because i'd love to tell you about how ridiculous mine is. i mean, the events that happen in it range from being kind of nonsensical to totally out in left-field — but i guess that's why i'm reading it; because that makes the book good material to read whenever i want to turn my brain off, you know? ❞
