Today, I was making someones drink at Starbucks and I ask her what her names was. It's Makiko. SO i said "Ko. That means child" :) and then she was all like "very good how did you know that" and I started to tell her in japanese that I know japanese and her eyes went from -.- to O.O. And she got so excited cause i asked her if she wanted to drink a Mocha in Japanese and she was all like "yes. I indeed want a mocha-with soy" and my partners were all looking at me like tf does this puerto rican colombian known about Japanese... Plenty niggas... plenty. 

Just felt kinda cool so I wanted to brag!

this is some interview about some girl who's gonna be on "king of the nerds". (this show is painful to watch. it's so fake. i only saw part of last season's finale.)

she basically personifies why i don't have motivation to study japanese. ppl like her get praised for their language skills. i don't care how arrogant this sounds, but her japanese sucks. calling her quadlingual is a big stretch, imo. i, on the other hand, can actually have a conversation and ppl just think i'm weird and pretend to not know what i'm taking about. by default it's "cute" that she knows something in another language, but come on.
