O ses Türkiye’nin İngiliz versiyon The Voice UK’in birincisi Jermain Jackman’ı şehrin neredeyse yüz yıllık efsane mekanlarından Quaglinos’da dinlemeye gittik. Jermain’in performansıyla, yemekler bütün gece yarıştı diyebilirim. The kitchen specialises in European classics. The menu is charmingly old school. Beef tartare, oysters, steaks are among some of the most popular options. Jermain Jackman was on the stage yesterday and he was great. Live music almost every night adds to the atmosphere, with reasonably big names sharing the line-up with up-and-coming talents. Celebrate icons with exclusive music, food and cocktails at Quaglino’s

This Summer, Quaglino’s launches Icons; offering guests the chance to experience an exciting lineup of live performances, exclusive brunches, supper clubs and exclusive cocktails.

The summer series takes place from 3rd July - 29th August and aims to celebrate iconic musicians, chefs, mixologists and artists within their industry.

Launching the series in true iconic fashion on Wednesday 3rd July, Glennis Grace pays homage to one of music’s biggest icons Whitney Houston. The Dutch singer is best known for her appearance on America’s Got Talent 2018, making it through to the semifinals with her stand-out performances of classic hits. This performance will be Glennis’ only London date on her tour, making the evening even more unmissable.

The series will also feature a range of tributes to some of the greatest iconic musicians of all-time including Frank Sinatra, Soul Men (Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross & Stevie Wonder), Ella Fiztgerald, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, The Beatles – just to name a few.

Guests can enjoy live performances from their seats in the restaurant with exclusive new menus from Executive Chef Nuno Goncalves, paired perfectly to a bespoke Q Icons Wine List, curated by Quaglino’s Head Sommelier and featuring his take on some of the world’s iconic wines.

The entertainment continues with themed brunches throughout the Summer including a Gatsby Brunch in July and a Disco Brunch to celebrate the ‘groovy’ 70s with a guest DJ and live performance from The Mirror Ball Act, who has performed at events for a wide range of clients including Formula 1, Mercedes Benz, The Brit Awards and Nike.

Additionally, Quaglino’s’ notorious bar team, including Head Mixologist Federico Pasian, are showcasing their innovative take on classic cocktails with an exclusive Q Icons cocktail menu which guests can enjoy at the bar overlooking the stage or in the main restaurant alongside dinner and live music.

Leslie Kwarteng, Senior General Manager at Quaglino’s, says “As one of London’s most iconic venues, what better way to celebrate the Summer of our 90th year than with an iconic line up of music, drink and food-led events! We are excited to welcome the legendary Glennis Grace to the stage to kick off the series followed by a range of tributes to some of the most iconic musicians of all time, throughout the two months. Quaglino’s goes sustainable with new menu

Quaglino’s Bar has once again launched an exciting new menu, with extraordinary cocktail presentation, this time with an important message.

‘The Science Of Sustainability’ is a new project that Quaglino’s Bar has initiated with Hunger Project UK and food waste collection service, Indie Ecology.

Vitamin Sea - Hendricks, Bergamot, Lavender, Nori Seaweed, Italicus, Ginger, Maraschino, Samphire, Jasmine air - £15

Metal and pasta made straws are lowering wastage. Local, organic products are used everywhere possible to reduce transportation costs and the menu itself is made out of recycled materials. Not only that, the restaurant is recycling food waste into a compost for growing more food for the menu.

Tornadoes - Hennessey Fine de Cognac, 10-year-old Madeira, Quaglia Liquore di Camomilla, 30’40, Grapefruit, Clouds - £16

The thought-provoking menu is in three parts that explores global environmental issues of the past, present and future through cleverly designed drinks. New cocktail “Let’s Be Clear” even uses clarified milk distilled from fresh milk boiled just once for hot drinks  that would otherwise have been discarded.

The most spectacular in design and taste is The Rocket

Bar Manager, Marco Sangion says this about Quaglino’s new menu: “Last year we told the history and the heritage of Quaglino’s to the world through our cocktails, today we want to contribute to promote sustainability awareness among those who follow us.”
