After the fall of SHIELD, it only took Clint and Natasha a few short months to find the new headquarters. Clint, unlike Natasha, was extremely interested in seeing what was inside the headquarters. Natasha believed that SHIELD didn’t need them anymore. Clint just wanted to meet the baby agents.
He made it in fairly easy (having been trained by Coulson, he always knew what to expect in SHIELD security). Once he was inside, he didn’t have to do much sneaking. He still had his old SHIELD uniform, and had put it on just for this.
His primary objective was just to explore the base, but he was also interested in seeing who had survived the battle with Hydra. Being an Avenger was great and all, but it meant he had lost track of all of his SHIELD connections. He walked around a corner and ran directly into a young woman. “Woah,” he breathed, reaching out to grab the woman’s arms, holding her up. “Hi. Maybe you could help me. I’m looking for...well...I’m just...you know...looking around.”
He blinked. “Okay. I sound super suspicious right now. I swear I’m allowed to be here. I’m a SHIELD agent, promise. Just...may not have been officially...invited here.”
