James Wheeler and Quan McFall have been working/chalking together for years. From pieces in the suburbs all the way to major chalk designs for organizations like the Nashville Predators, these temporary masterpieces are the heart and soul of this design duo. Taking what most would consider an asphalt/concrete jungle, James and Quan make this rough tapestry their canvas…
The purpose of the piece is an upcoming article in SET Magazine. Quan had asked me to tag along to take some photos of the process and them doing what they do best.
The finished product took around 6-7 hours. It’s a large piece and I had to struggle to get it all in frame, even with a tripod, standing on a picnic table…

These guys with their skill and talent are incredible. If you ever get the opportunity to see one of these pieces worked on live, you’ll experience the blood, sweat, and tears that go along with this sort of massive scale, temporary art piece.
