I love this scene.
Because all those Asgardians are only there because Thor told them to be. None of them would probably help Jane otherwise, judging by Odin’s later reaction. And this woman’s attitude as she’s talking has every bit of why do I even bother there is no possible way you can understand any of this that she can pack in there. She hears the words Jane uses and immediately dismisses her because they are not the correct Asgardian words.
And Jane just snaps right back, doesn’t even pause to think. Because she knows that she knows what she’s talking about. She’s using different words than the Asgardians, but she does know her stuff and isn’t letting anyone talk down to her just because they have different terms for the same thing.
And Thor is loving it. Jane’s not just pretty, she is smart, and Thor is watching her surprise and amaze everyone around her and he’s just standing back and proudly smiling at her awesomeness.
