Sometimes we touch down because it seems the right thing to do, though the concept of "right thing to do" is vastly different than what you perceive it as. You humans, with your loaded connotations.
More often than not, in hindsight, touching down becomes a "because I had no where else to go", but that's once again human thoughts and human garbage talking it's usual shit. There's always places to go. Even chained in a mudbunk with your face pulled about by wires and the rest jacked into your skull, there's places to go. "Stuck" is like "time" and "someday" and "power" and "truth" and "evil" and "allies" are in colonized languages, and even those not. They have these definitive concepts that have no wiggle room. And in language, you need more than wiggle. You need to throwem' up and about, legs in the air, fists pumping, head tossing, buck and shuffle and run and loop and roll and do it all over again. If language doesn't dance, it's dead. Dead like human language means, which is stagnant and unmoving and without hop. But even dead language isn't as dead as humans mean it, which is finite, extinction, things that mean "deleted".
Nothing's ever deleted because that infers that time is a linear entity and that's only possible if you are also a linear entity, which takes a lot of denial. So much denial that all you're doing is just slow self deletion. The life long suicide shuffle until you wake up right before your lights go out, and you hope the next time around it's different, not really getting that that's always been your call.
Try getting all those little earthheads to process that one, though.
The cyclic routing of induction is practically unavoidable once intent is laid out. Because of the "energy follows thought" complex, once attention is paid, strength will quickly grow. First in trickles, and then in greater numbers. This is true for everyday human interactions (uprisings, ideas, pop culture, social evolution), so for humans to be so incapable of following an obvious chain of action/reaction of energy follows thought is just further proof of their total inability in defense, which has been taught in numerous cultures over centuries.
Once the cycle is started however, the idea of being able to ignore a malicious intent is nearly impossible for most. This is additionally where extensive programming to humans has left them open for continual attack and harm, largely in that humans have a complete lack of will when dealing with things unfamiliar to them. They feel panic and anger, leaving them open to be manipulated with little means of properly fighting back.
Even now, what you are reading is an induction. The sentence you just read has allowed you to open yourself, and they are aware of you.
They always have been, but now their metaphorical (and literal) heads have turned in your direction. Some will take note and not care, others will take further interest. And what's more, opening yourself allows the flow you habitually keep out to begin to move through you more freely. Over time, you'll become part of it again, and you will feel it's current and move with it, if you choose.
To shut it off now is still possible, it will always be possible, but the further you go, the harder it will become. At first, you will be able to walk away easily from this change, with only brief needling feelings now and again that will fade with time. Like childhood memories. But as time goes on, and you feel what comes with the opening, you will find the life you once led to be not worth fighting to have back. It will feel like something you wore out of some unknown but unnecessary obligation. An obligation that will loose it's power as you begin to regain your own.
On occasion you hop into someone who is already on timeshare with someone else. Sometimes, this someone else isn't willing to lend space. Sometimes it's like a roommate you never see that moves your shit around but you're not even sure if they still live with you anymore. A ghost of a ghost roommate. And sometimes you hop into someone already so deep possessed, that they don't know anymore.
