Work asked me to illustrate a character from the war game, Quar.

Of all the war game characters I've drawn for work, Quar is the one I am most qualified to draw.

(It's a war game described as grim and whimsical- or "grimsical" - and I would best describe the aesthetic as "Jim Henson's Creature Shop presents Word War 1.")

Quar! This guy was so fun to paint. Have an order of toulmores on order but a mate gave me this and some other models they printed to try out and oh my they were a joy to sit down and just slap colour on.

I have Quar brain rn. I need to write for them and not just draw Quar art. These funky little critters have enchanted me completely.

Trench Quarfare

My first painted Quar and I had so much fun! I really want to do an army of these guys now. I'm really hoping he does well at a competition I'm attending this month.
