I love the idea of Kolivan who literally can't wrap his head around humans.
He's not stupid by any means!
Galra are just a bit more straightforward with how they talk.
This means that he frequently embarrasses the paladins with efficiency that he genuinely could earn a metal for.
Kolivan has outed Hunk for not liking the food from another planet.
At the table.
He didn't mean to do this.
He just doesn't understand the concept of sparing feelings, and Hunk clearly grimaced, so no, this food clearly is not great.
Why lie about it?
Pidge and Kolivan seem to get along a bit better because they're smart enough to know that they need to be very literal with him.
He still has his moments, though.
Matt came back from a mission, and when Pidge saw him at first, they had jokingly told him that they didn't miss him at all.
Kolivan asks how that can be true if they were crying about him being gone.
Matt hasn't let them live that one down.
Shiro had told the others that he wasn't going to let Adam talk him into going on this mission with him. It was too dangerous.
Adam was then found next to Shiro on the ship.
Kolivan did loudly ask Shiro why he does things for Adam when he doesn't want to do them.
In front of Adam.
The other paladins have taken this as fuel for their bullying because how could you not?
Shiro might be a bit weak for his husband but that's his business!
Keith talks about Lance to everyone BUT Lance.
One time, during an argument about Earth music, Keith had jokingly said, "I hate you so much" to Lance.
Well, Kolivan happened to be present for this one.
He immediately responded with, "No you don't. You said you quite liked him."
Keith could've killed him on the spot.
Now when Keith says, "I hate you,"
Lance says, "No you don't. You said you quite liked me."
Pillow thrown directly at face.
(This is heavily inspired by 5 times Kolivan gave the humans a little push unknowingly and one time he was thanked for them by @yuutsunaoi-writes )
I have an Obey Me blog, and I've been in the fandom forever, so it's really hard to break the habit of saying "Human World" when talking about Voltron. It's EARTH.
Anyway! I need more Kolivan content, but no one has it, so I make it.
