@quartza you can’t have a business without the state. the state is what enforces private property. the leftist proposal isn’t “get rid of rich people”, it’s “abolish the institutions that uphold capitalism and enforce private property”. a capitalist has no inherent malicious quality to them. they just have the ability to call upon people with guns and the legal authority to use them to enforce their will. capitalism is entirely based on the use of the state to enforce property claims. there’s no getting around that. collaboration between capitalists and agents of the state is mutually beneficial.
