Gonna liveblog my journey transferring from Spotify to something else because I gotta put something on my blog.
Tried Qobuz, saw two posts about it as an alternative to Spotify, it boasts a lot of tracks and reviews seem to be positive. So I got the free trial, and used the service to transfer my main playlist from Spotify to Quboz, and started poking around.
Got disappointed pretty fast. I saw that Soundiz wouldn't be perfect in transferring, and some tracks might error for no reason, but even still, only 32% of over four thousand tracks successfully transferring kinda killed it for me. And, seemingly, I also can't listen to local files through Quboz, something I could do quite easily through Spotify.
It's frustrating because this streaming service seems like it could be so good, but not having built in ability to listen to local files kills it for me (I found there are other services that would let you listen to Quboz and local files in one, but that requires another subscription, and I'm not getting two subscriptions just to get one platform plus simple feature)
Oh well. The hunt continues.
