What about the reader is some sort of royalty, and Paz is their bodyguard?
ooooh, ok so @maybege has a wonderful bodyguard!Paz au that I have read quite a few times called The One, it's over on AO3! but yes, I love the idea of Paz as a bodyguard to a reader who's some kind of royalty!
maybe you're a princess, who's supposed to take the throne once you're of ruling age, since your parents died when you were younger. your uncle rules in your stead as regent, and once you turn 25, you'll take over.
but as you get closer to your birthday, you start receiving death threats, and other horrific messages, and so the advisors push for you to be assigned a full time bodyguard.
you're worried, but you're confident in the security of the palace, and your new bodyguard comes highly recommended. when you finally meet Mr. Vizsla, he's huge, intimidating and quiet, but the way he holds himself signals that this is a man who knows how to handle himself. he's the kind of person you feel safe with.
he takes your safety seriously, and he's your shadow basically 24/7, which has the unintended side effect of making him the one man you've been in the company of the most for weeks on a time, and he's extremely attractive, which your subconscious picks up on.
you've had more than one uncomfortable dream, waking desperate and needy for something you don't know how to put into words, hoping beyond hope that Paz didn't hear you making noise through the thin walls that connect his room to yours (for security purposes, ofc).
and then one day there's an attack? and you're almost killed, very much because your uncle had called Paz away and you'd been left unguarded for a few hours. one of the advisors insists that Paz take you into hiding, that you're clearly unsafe at the palace and it'd be better if you were kept in hiding until the coronation.
so the two of you have to hide out in a safe house for a few months until your birthday, the tension growing and growing with every passing night, especially since the two of you are sharing a bed...
