Meanwhile, in Richard’s kingdom, queen Amanda is getting increasingly tired of his affair with his advisor. She always finds ways to make passives jabs at him— urging him to cease these antics, and to start looking for more appropriate suitors. Then, when she finally thinks she’s getting through to him, the neighboring kingdom allows their prince to wed his body guard. It’s despicable! It’s against protocol! It’s chaos, she seethes! Chaos!
OH
MY GOD
Queen Amanda is so pissed that her son, the perfect prince, is having such a blasphemous affair with his advisor. She is just a peasant who managed to climb her way to the top... how dare she! His son should chose and marry a noble woman or a well respected princess, not a sneaky fox.
She sees red whenever she catches them in the prince’s chambers, tangled on the bed sheets and naked as the day they were born. Queen Amanda is so pissed off at the fact that Prince Richard looks at her with such adoration in his eyes, how gently he caresses her and how softly he speaks when they are lost in each other. And how her advisor reciprocates all this with the same intensity.
She nags and makes jabs, belittling his advisor at any given hour. Prince Richard doesn’t want to cross the Queen and sometimes he has an internal battle with himself, not know what to do. He loves this woman, he wants her to be at his side forever. But on the other hand, he will be king some day, he has to do the best for his people...
The news from the neighbouring kingdom saying that the King abolished the marriage law, and allowed his Prince to wed his bodyguard, fills him with so much hope for him and his beloved. Queen Amanda is seething, throwing things to the floor and screaming obscenities. But despite all that, Prince Richard is smiling.
If Connor managed to marry Ona, Richard will make sure that him and Cel end up in the same happy fate. His cousin made the first step, so it’s his duty to take the next one.
