Oki ask game for Demeter: 7, 10, 15(excluding Zenoheld),20, 27
7. What is their weapon of choice? Are they any good at it?
Demeter's preferred weapon is a polearm similar in design to a naginata - in an AU where she survives, she was trained by the Neathian Castle Knights so she's pretty proficient with it. In Devil in the Garden specifically, she also uses telekinesis as a weapon, having practiced almost religiously for sixteen years to hone that skill.
10. What is their first assumption if they were to wake up in a totally unfamiliar location?
"I must be dead" or "I must have been captured."
15. What triggers a strong disgust reaction in them?
Abuse of a child (for obvious reasons). In every AU where she's killed when Hydron was a child, it's because she dared to confront Zenoheld after he hit Hydron for whatever reason he thought was justified. Whether she threatened Zenoheld directly or threatened to take Hydron and leave, that was all the excuse he needed to get rid of her.
20. What was your first thought in creating them?
I wanted to give Hydron's mom a name and a presence in Devil in the Garden, because his lack of a mother figure seemed integral to his characterization and it gave me a point of contrast to compare to Dan and Shun in regards to their own mothers, respectively. Originally, Demeter was going to be dead in the story, having been executed when Hydron was a baby. But then I thought it would be more interesting if she actually survived, especially since it would give me a chance to tie Neathia and Gundalia into the worldbuilding ahead of a potential Gundalian Invaders rewrite. Also, I was inspired by @eseli to give Demeter and Hydron latent psychic powers and was struck by the image of Demeter telekinetically lifting the BT System Transmitter out of the ground, so then I had to write it.
27. List five of their recent Google searches. (lol the mental image of Demeter using google)
