Part 3 of my @bakuposting Bakugan Pride Month list featuring my joke ship that turned out to not be a joke actually. Putting Ace in such bright colors is weird lol but he does slay. And he's wearing nothing but a leather harness underneath which is very gay : 3c

My headcanon is that Vestals as a species are agender (gendered presentation is purely cosmetic / a social construct and has no effect on reproduction); Ace is pansexual and Hydron is gay.

Runo is trans fem & bisexual, Alice is genderfluid & a lesbian. Runo's butterfly headband is a nod to Hatsune Miku Magnet (which i still want to draw The Pose(TM) with these two).

[insert lyrics to Part of Your World here] I finished w/ 30 minutes left to spare!! Partially inspired by @pandaofsecrets name analysis which points out that Hydron's name derives from the Greek suffix hydro- (referring to water) but he's a Subterra brawler and not an Aquos brawler. My brain went. . .slightly to the left. . .

Though maybe not that far. There are parallels between Hydron and Ariel (//stares at their respective dads).

I present you: Prince Hydron's mother!

Her name is Demeter Cygnus; she is/was King Zenoheld's first and only wife. In my fic Devil in the Garden, she escapes the Motherpalace with the help of the Neathian Castle Knights, joining the Neathian court and eventually re-marrying to Serena and Fabia's late mother. She was separated from Hydron before she was rescued. In Devil in the Garden, she has psychic powers, which Hydron inherits.

She uses the Haos attribute and her partner Bakugan is a Gundalian Bakugan named Inari, who defected from the Gundalians after learning of their plans to use child soldiers in the war with Neathia. Inari resembles a nine-tailed fox with a tail of peacock feathers.

She's a headstrong woman who loves Hydron dearly. She always defies Zenoheld in some fashion related to his treatment of Hydron, and either tries to flee with her son or is executed publicly over false charges of attempting to kill Zenoheld.

In my headcanon, Vestals are capable of both sexual and asexual reproduction. Hydron is a genetic clone of Demeter because she and Zenoheld hated each other too much to have sex. Hydron looks exactly like her, which is all the more reason for Zenoheld to hate his son : )

Her Neathian battle armor is based on Fabia and Shun's armor in Gundalian Invaders. The insignia on her cloak is the Neathian crest cut in half (the Neathian crest can be seen on Captain Elright's armor and looks like a silhouette of the Neathian queen).

Her Vestal queen attire is based on this dress:

My retired D&D character, Seneca. They're a protector aasimar, Circle of Stars druid/Way of the Astral Self monk. This was the outfit they wore to the museum gala on the Rock of Bral right before our BBEG sent them, our other druid Aliester, our fighter Lyra, and our rogue Crispen seven thousand years into the past, where Seneca broke time and changed all of our DM's plans for the rest of the campaign.

When they take their protector form, they merge bodies with their celestial guide, a god named Gemini. The staff is the Quarterstaff of Wildspace, and the sword is called Libra's Equinox - Seneca was gifted the former by the dragons of Strixhaven and obtained the latter by cutting out their own heart and weighing it on Libra's scale.

Someday I'll finish their reference sheets and post them. . .even though our campaign ended last year. (If anyone is wondering, we flew our Spelljamming ship through the body of the BBEG as the final blow and it was fucking awesome).

A pair of paintings I made last year as wedding gifts for my cousin and his wife. I used a soft bristle toothbrush for the fur texture, which saved me a lot of time (especially since I literally did them the night before the wedding)
