Who's Queen Dolly? And what does she have to do with the Wizard of Oz?

Queen Dolly is a fictional character from one of the more racist entries of the Oz series: the 1901 book "Dot and Tot of Merryland" by Frank L. Baum. She is a child-sized wax doll and ruler of Merryland - an enchanted country north-west of the Land of Oz.

In-universe, Toyland has been echoing into the collective unconscious of human imagination (or perhaps vice versa?), as with all realms in the Otherworld. Queen Dolly was the ruler of Toyland during the late nineteenth to early twentieth centuries, but her reign was short-lived and no one has seen her since Moonracer took control.

i had to google if dolly parton's husband is still alive bc I started to listen her new song and it sounds so much like goodbye to someone who is dying/died.

I know nothing of that man besides the great songs we have because how much she loved him. And oh, to be loved so, that people rememebr you for being loved.

If I remember correctly he was the muse for one of the greatest love songs to exist, I will always love you.
