One of the things I’m looking forward to when I get my hands on Castle Swimmer Volume 1 is experiencing Nee and Krilli’s scenes again. Their vibe in season one will always be great

Why Castle Swimmer is kind of the best thing ever
Castle Swimmer, a webtoons comic by @wendylianmartin, is a perfect example of how LGBT representation should be done. The representation is natural, and not a big deal or a token saying “HEY WE HAVE GAY CHARACTERS.” The (amazing, suspenseful, and moving) plot isn’t about Kappa and Siren’s sexualities, it’s about cool stuff like mermaid prophecies and blood curses and sassy shark grandmas.
And when their sexualities are mentioned, it’s not in a hamfisted way. Like Silver teasing Siren about getting a boyfriend or Susca telling Nee that her son isn’t interested in princesses and Nee immediately offering princes instead. It’s just... the right amount of representation in the right way.
Also Kappa and Siren are the two most adorable mers in the entire world, so
I know castle swimmers focuses around kappa & siren by id just like to say that krilli & nee are married

Queen Nee, about Siren: Krilli, you have to be nice to him! We've bonded and now he's like a son to me.
