"i don't know." it was all he could think of telling her. he'd been in the city on an intel gathering mission before he rejoined the rest of his team in hiding. steve hadn't expected to run into the sort of trouble he had and he definitely hadn't expected to see spider-man. their meeting in berlin may not have been the best and he still couldn't believe stark had brought a kid into their fight but he was appreciative of the kid's help. this, though, was something completely different. her running out like she had put more than just the law enforcement in danger; it put herself in danger, too. and he had to say something to get her to see straight. hopefully now she did. "i'm guessing he is since i saw him swing off away from where we took down that creature. doesn't explain why you decided to run out and put yourself in danger. were you trying to get yourself killed?"
