hi bestie @queenbruv!!! i'm going to assume you mean tag teams specifically here, let's do some self-reflection and see what's up! honestly, usually i like tag teams depending on how gay they act together, but we have some less-gay options here too.
top 5 wrestling tag teams
Rhiyo - Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky
I am so incredibly obsessed with them. They are two of the best physical wrestlers and every match they have together is a banger and watching them go from rivals to regaining respect for each other to being friends to iyo referring to rhea as her family.... literally kill me watching their dynamic develop over the months has been my favorite thing about wwe lately. I remember the reaction i had to rhea coming out to fight roxanne and giulia and telling them "no one hurts iyo but me" and now!!!! here we are!!!!! they balance each other so well and they're both so formidable by themselves but then having this support with each other and that alliance gives them both such nice stability! and i especially love that they know that what happens inside the ring between them isn't personal. they had an absolutely brutal match at evolution and neither of them won the title and they still were smiling and physically supporting each other directly after the match
2. Allies of Convenience aka Charlexa - Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss
Opposites attract!!!! They have history!!!! Tag teaming with Alexa made Charlotte have fun with wrestling again!!!! Alexa affirms their friendship with words and Charlotte does it with physical touch! They were sooooooooo annoyed with each other at first and now they do hand hearts with each other and are so protective of each other and have called each other their best friend and charlotte came back to the war games alliance despite hating rhea because she loves and trusts alexa and needs to be there for her. alexa was evil deranged for a while and charlotte is nepo baby queen and they were TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS TOGETHER. charlotte once yanked on alexa's pigtail so she could pull her in for a hug and i feel like that tells you a lot about their initial dynamic for this alliance
3. Sami Zayn and Jey Uso
blurry pic but I wanted the matching glasses because jey gave sami his own personalized pair of yeet glasses for this entrance :) jey more commonly tags with his brother but these two have tagged before and i'm obsessed with their dynamic. when sami first joined the bloodline (jey's evil family cult faction) jey hated him, then they loved each other, then sami left the cult by betraying roman (jey's cousin, head of the cult), many things happened, jey left the cult, now they are each other's number 1 supports and also sami is jey's moral compass. if they hadn't moved sami to smackdown most of the "is jey going to turn heel" situations of the past few months wouldn't have happened at all. shout out to jimmy though, jimmy is also super important to both of them and i'm a fan of sibling sets so the usos as a tag team also get a shout out, it's just that sami is one of my favorite male wrestlers right now and what he's got going on with jey is pretty gay
4. this is going to be wild for people who knew my wrestling opinions last year but Finn Balor and JD McDonagh aka 2/5 of the Judgement Day
I used to be a judgement day hater but it turns out i'm really just a dominik mysterio hater and i like the rest of the judgement day or at least find them amusing. finn and jd are genuinely very good wrestlers and i like that they've got a mentor/mentee thing going on and that they're irish. also every time i imagine the judgement day splitting up jd and finn are still a solid duo, they really are a team. also shout out to finn for demonito. someday i hope to see the actual demon
5. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch
listen they were so fun as an evil dramatic heel duo. I love them both individually and i really enjoy their non-kayfabe interviews, but their current overdramatic evil hot-husband-gorgeous-wife dynamic that they had going on before seth got injured was so fun. i was finding them both a little too insufferable individually but pairing them together in the storyline resweetened things for me. also i love that the sethpunk feud was strong enough to create a ajbecky feud.
Honorable mentions:
Tatum Paxley and Lyra Valkyria - they still got something weird and obsessive going on despite being on different brands and I appreciate that
Bayley and Lyra Valkyria - they've got something weird going on, too, but in more of a mentor/mentee way
Ja'Von Evans and Leon Slater- they're really fun to watch! I'm not as clued in to their storylines but every match that i've seen with them has been a riot
Zaruca - Zaria and Sol Ruca they are soooooooooo girlfriends but the divorce is imminent i'm afraid :(
Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest - terror twins!!!! best friends forever!!! they are and will always be each other's family!!!! everything that happened with them after the judgement day's betrayal was awesome. they have a really sweet friendship outside of kayfabe too
