#GOALS 😘 // #RealTalk: My definition of #beauty is constantly changing. People tell me all the time: "You don't need #makeup to be beautiful, Michelle," as if me delighting in beautifying my outer body is vanity. I understand the sentiment, but God CREATED me to be this way. 👄 ▪ I am a #girlygirl and that will never change. I will always love makeup, dresses, cute shoes and being ultra-#feminine because that is how God created me to be. #DorisDay is my role model (ladylike and sweet!) and I think that the #ElleWoods character from Legally Blonde is adorbs! 😁 But that doesn't mean that my identity is wrapped up in or defined by my appearance. 💅 • My identity is in being a Daughter of the Most High King and because I am His Princess, my heart yearns to please The Lord. When people see me, I want them to see my Heavenly Daddy IN me. I want them to know by my smile or my demeanor or when I do an act of #kindness: "She must be a #Christian." Not for me, but to be #saltandlight for God. We represent Him wherever we go & I'm proud to rep the Kingdom. 👸 ▪ You've heard of Brand Reps and Brand Ambassadors? Well, as Believers we are Kingdom Ambassadors: we represent the #KingdomofGod in this world. People should be able to recognize Christ in us just by the way we carry ourselves. 🙏🕇 ▪ So yes, to me beauty is defined as people seeing Jesus in me and my Father In Heaven seeing me as awesomesauce. 😊 ▪ As long as we are servant-minded, making an impact in people's lives, walking in Love towards others, finding ways to show kindness to others... that is what is TRULY GORGEOUS. Doesn't mean that there is ANYTHING wrong with maintaining your outward beauty! Girl, rock that makeup, wear that outfit, and delight in being YOU because I will continue to channel #QueenEster in my daily beauty routine. But just know that God sees you as beautiful no matter what you look like. It's our hearts being "pretty" that He loves... and really? That's all that matters.
